Conference Finals Game 6 Cavaliers vs Raptors

The Cavaliers didn’t miss a beat in game 5 and tore through the Raptors with a resounding victory. They’re now just one game away from reaching the NBA finals in back-to-back appearances. Will they accomplish this tonight or will Toronto take it to a 7th game? Keep reading for the game preview.

Bet on the Cavaliers

The Cavaliers had something to prove in game 5 and they weren’t about to pushed around on their home court. And, for anyone that had any doubts, they came out blazing, handing the Raptors a resounding defeat to the tune of 116-78.

Cleveland’s well-know trio of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and Lebron James, heard the call and answered its fans with a masterful game 5, combining for 71 points.

As mentioned in a previous article, Kevin Love jumped back in the fray and put up 25 points. The Cavs need this type of performance from Love if they’re to win because although James is a one-man wrecking machine, he can’t play Love’s position and can’t match up with Toronto’s big man Bismack Biyombo.

Of course, rendering Biyombo ineffective opened up a world of possibilities for the Cavs. By pulling out Biyombo from beneath the rim, James can do his thing both in scoring and dishing the ball out to Irving.

Bet on the Raptors

As expected, DeRozan and Lowry fizzled out on the road. After scoring a combined 67 points in game 4, the duo only put up a paltry 27 points combined in the next game. And, that just won’t cut it to say the least.

It’s clear to anyone that these two are the motor powering the Raptors offense. If both have an off night, the Raptors suck. Which is to say that in order for them to win tonight, both of them need to be firing on all cylinders.

That said, the burden shouldn’t fall solely on these two. DeMarre Carroll also needs to put his big boy underwear on and up his game. He’s worthless if he can’t perform when the stakes are this high.

Game five is back in Air Canada Centre, where the Raptors where successful in winning. However, even if they manage to win, they still have to consider the possibility of the seventh game. What then?
