Eastern Conference Finals Game 2: Raptors vs Cavaliers

As expected, the Cleveland Cavaliers came out blazing and cut through the Toronto Raptors in the first game of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Now, we head into game 2 and it’ll be interesting to see if Toronto answers back or once again folds under the pressure.

Bet on the Raptors

The Raptors appeared to be ready to roll, right after they beat the Miami Heat. However, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers took no notice and simply steamrolled over them in game 1 of this series, beating them by 31 points.

Though Toronto gave a valiant fight, it wasn’t enough to even keep up with the previous conference champions. If they’re to win tonight, Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan will have to pull out all the stops and have as good a game as they did in game 6 in the series against Miami.

Lowry had an awful time in getting it together in this game, unable to score but eight points and going 4 of 14 from the perimeter. Meanwhile, DeRozan also had a lackluster performance of 18 points with 50 percent shooting average.

Also, Valanciunas’ absense also played a big factor in the Raptors inefficiency at center. Though Bismark Biyombo was successful in getting in the way of James in the regular season games, the Cavs stepped it up and Biyombo was clearly overpowered.

Bet on the Cavaliers

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers continue on their warpath, felling opponents without much resistance and being merciless without regard. Both LeBron James and the team’s highest scorer, Kyrie Irving have taken it upon themselves to execute flawlessly.

The Cavs’ bench also stepped up to the challenge and fell into line right with Irving and James, scoring 39 points with Richard Jefferson and Matthew Dellavedova scoring nine each.

Cleveland however needs to be mindful of keeping possession of ball. In game 1, they turned it over an incredible 16 times, which could mean the game if Lowry and DeRozan get fired up in the second game.

Clearly though, the Cavaliers’ experience at this point in the competition is showing. And, more than likely they’ll seal the deal again tonight.
