Place Your Bets! The Top 4 NBA Games This Week

There are a lot of NBA games this week, which will provide a lot of excitement, but also make it hard for fans to decide which ones to bet on, so we have gone through the schedule for you, and have come up with the four best picks for the week.

Oklahoma City Thunder (20-20) vs. Miami Heat (18-22), Tuesday, January 20, 7:30 PM. ET.

The Thunder dealt with injuries to stars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to start the season, which is why they struggled early in the season. With both players back, the Thunder have been playing well, and are trying to fight their way back into the playoff picture.

The Miami Heat knew they would miss the presence of LeBron James in their lineup this season, but they still felt they were one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately for them, they haven't played like one of the best teams in the Conference, and are fighting to hold on to the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Teams Stats

  • The Thunder score 100.1 points per game, which is 11th in the NBA.
  • The Thunder allow opponents to score 98.5 points per game, which is 9th in the league.
  • The Thunder average 46.6 rebounds per game, which is 1st in the NBA.
  • The Heat score 93.3 points per game, which is 28th in the NBA.
  • The Heat allow opponents to score 97.1 points per game, which is 5th.
  • The Heat average 37 rebounds per game, which is 30th.

Game Odds: The Thunder are favored to win the game by 9 points.

My Pick: The Thunder will win a close game.

Indiana Pacers (15-28) vs. Atlanta Hawks (34-8), Wednesday, January 21, 7:30 PM. ET.

The Indiana Pacers have struggled all year due to the loss of their best player Paul George, who is expected to miss the rest of the season, but they are only three games behind the Brooklyn Nets for the final playoff spot, and have plenty to play for. C.J. Miles, led the team with 23 points, in their loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday.

Atlanta has been a pleasant surprise this season, and have the best record in the Eastern Conference. They will be trying to put some more distance between them and the Washington Wizards, with a win against the Pacers. Jeff Teague leads the team, and is averaging 17.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, but Paul Millsap led the way with 20 points and 7 rebounds in their game against Detroit on Monday.

Team Stats

  • Indiana averages 95 points per game, which is 26th in the league.
  • Indiana allows opponents to score 97 points per game, which is 4th in the league.
  • Indiana averages 45.4 rebounds per game, which is 5th in the league.
  • Indiana has lost two straight games to Atlanta this season, and five games in a row.
  • Atlanta scores 103.1 points per game, which is 7th in the league.
  • Atlanta allows opponents to score 96.3 points per game, which is 1st in the league.
  • Atlanta averages 41 rebounds per game, which is 25th in the league.
  • Atlanta has won 13 games in a row.

Game Odds: The Hawks are 11 point favorites in this game, the points total for the Over/Under is 192.5.

My Pick: The Hawks will dominate the Pacers, and cover the spread.

Indiana Pacers (15-28) vs. Miami Heat (18-23), Friday, January 23, 7:30 PM. ET.

This will be a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference Finals matchup, but this time around, both teams will be fighting for one of the final playoff positions in the Eastern Conference. The Pacers will be trying to win their third straight game against the Heat this season, while Miami will be trying to get their first win of the year against Indiana.

Team Stats

  • Indiana averages 95 points per game, which is 26th in the league.
  • Indiana allows opponents to score 97 points per game, which is 4th in the league.
  • Indiana averages 45.4 rebounds per game, which is 5th in the league.
  • The Heat score 93.3 points per game, which is 28th in the NBA.
  • The Heat allow opponents to score 97.1 points per game, which is 5th.
  • The Heat average 37 rebounds per game, which is 30th.

My Pick: The Heat will get their first win of the year against Indiana, in a close game.

Miami Heat (18-23) vs. Chicago Bulls (27-16), Sunday, January 25, 1 PM. ET. ABC.

The Heat lost by 18 points in their first and only meeting this season, but they were without Chris Bosh, who missed his first game of the season due to a calf injury. They will be hoping for a different result, with Bosh back in the lineup.

The Bulls have struggled lately, losing six of their last 10 games, coming into this week. They will be coming off games against the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, which could wear them out physically before this game.

Team Stats

  • The Heat score 93.3 points per game, which is 28th in the NBA.
  • The Heat allow opponents to score 97.1 points per game, which is 5th.
  • The Heat average 37 rebounds per game, which is 30th.
  • The Bulls score 102.1 points per game, which is 9th in the league.
  • The Bulls allow opponents to score 99.7 points per game, which is 16th in the league.
  • The Bulls average 45.3 rebounds per game, which is 6th in the league.

Game Odds

My Pick: The Bulls will win another big game against the Heat.
