The Spurs finally had a healthy team in their third meeting, and were able to win the game by 14 points.

Before the All Star break, the Spurs had won seven of their last 10 games, and looked like the defending champions, but they lost to a Clippers team that was playing without Blake Griffin, and got blown out by the Golden State Warriors in their next game. They need to get back on track and start winning games, if they don't want to face the Warriors in the first round of the playoffs.

Like the Spurs, they have also lost their first two games since the All Star break, and need to start compiling some wins soon, to avoid playing losing home court advantage in the playoffs.

In the last Portland Trailblazers game, they actually played very well against the Memphis Grizzlies, but they were unable to hold on to their lead, and allowed Memphis to outscore them 34-15 in the 4th quarter, and come back from a 13 point deficit to win the game. The loss was a tough one for the Blazers, who had one of their finest performances of the year in the first three quarters. The Blazers were without their leading scorer LaMarcus Aldridge, who missed the game because of a thumb injury. He is listed as day to day, so his status for the Spurs game is unknown.
