Week 7 NFL Lock Picks

Plenty of surprises left in the regular season especially after the Dolphins upset of the decade win over the Steelers last week. I personally watched close to 15 hours of NFL action this past weekend to bring you my Week 7 NFL lock picks.

Week 7 NFL Lock Picks

Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers

  • When: Thursday, October 20, 2016 8:25 PM ET
  • Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
  • TV: CBS
  • Odds: Packers -7.5

Analysis: Even with Aaron Rodgers, the Packers have not been playing to playoffs standards. Rodgers, himself, has been sluggish at times and doesn’t seem like his usual MVP-self. That said, they can still go up against a team like the Bears and wipe Lambeau Field with them. The Bears are having a horrid season and are at 1-5, so it’s fair to say they won’t come into Green Bay’s backyard and knock the cheese out of the Packers. This despite however bad the Packers are performing at the moment.

NFL Week 7 Lock Pick: Houston Packers -9

New York Giants vs Los Angeles Rams

  • When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 9:30 AM ET
  • Where: Twickenham Stadium, Twickenham, United Kingdom
  • TV: NFLN
  • Odds: Giants -2.5

Analysis: Even if Case Keenum has another +320 yards performance, it’s unlikely the Rams can edge out the pass heavy Giants offense, mainly because of defensive end Robert Quinn’s absence. Case in point, take a look at the Lions’ strategy in their game against Los Angeles. Considering Odell Beckham Jr. is back in the fold for the Giants, you can expect New York to go heavy on the pass and you’re looking at a similar outcome.

NFL Week 7 Lock Pick: Giants -2.5

New Orleans Saints vs Kansas City Chiefs

  • When: Sunday, October 23, 2016 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
  • TV: FOX
  • Odds: Chiefs -6.5

Analysis: This is actually a good match up for the Chiefs but are they a lock pick to cover the 6.5-point spread as favorites? The Saints’ defense is not solid and it’s something Kansas City can exploit to gain more offensive time on the field. Control the clock, control the game. The Chiefs’ defense also has enough clout to knock around the Saints’ offensive line and shut down Brees’ passing game in a similar way than how they did it against the Raiders, which they kep to only 225 total yards.

Now, that’s not to say the Chiefs can put a lid on the Saints’ offense. Drew Brees is one heck of a quarterback and can turn things around quickly to New Orleans’ favor. The Saints have also been pretty good on the road, in fact, going 3-1 in their last four games outside of the Superdome.

NFL Week 7 Lock Pick: Saints +6.5 to cover.
