Kansas State Wildcats vs. Texas Longhorns Predictions on ABC
The Texas Longhorns football program is literally imploding in front of the entire nation and there are millions of people who are loving every minute of it as their Longhorn Network was the last straw for many who could not stand their perceived arrogance to begin with. Meanwhile the defending Big 12 champion Kansas State Wildcats are back on track after a stunning loss on opening night to a good 1AA North Dakota State Bison team. The Texas Longhorns will host the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday night with a starting time of 8 PM ET and a telecast on ABC. Kansas State is 2-1 straight up and 1-2 against the spread with the CFB lines after a 37-7 home win over UMass as 37.5 point chalks. K-State bullied Louisiana Lafayette 48-27 as 12.5 point home favorites after that stunning 24-21 loss to North Dakota State that shocked them in to seriousness. K State lost nearly all of their key players from last year’s Big 12 title team including Heisman finalist QB Colin Klein. One key player that did return is RB John Hubert and he leads the team in rushing. New QB Jake Waters has a 69% completion rate with 9.6 yards per attempt and a 4/5 TD/INT ratio.
The Eyes of Texas are Wide Open
Texas is coming off a 44-23 home loss to the ole Miss Rebels as the Horns took a 23-14 lead and then never scored again. Head coach Mack Brown is under intense fire and has nobody else to blame after firing defensive coordinator Manny Diaz last week. Ole Miss outgained Texas 449-320 and ran for 272 yards and 6.0 yards per attempt.
Mack Brown’s seat could very well get even hotter as Kansas State has won the last 5 consecutive meetings in this head to head series with 5 straight payouts as well. This series has gone over the total in 4 out of the last 5 meetings. KSTATE!
