Thursday Night Football: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders

Two bitter AFC rivals will renew their rivalry for the first time this season, when the Kansas City Chiefs play the Oakland Raiders on Thursday Night Football. The 7-3 Chiefs are fighting for a chance to win the division, while the Raiders will be trying to end their 16 game losing streaks.

Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) vs. Oakland Raiders (0-10), Thursday, November 20, 8:30 PM. ET. NFL.

After a disappointing 0-2 start to the season, the Chiefs have turned things around, and have won seven of their last eight games, which includes big wins over the New England Patriots, the San Diego Chargers, and the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday, which proves that they are a very legitimate team, with a good chance to win the AFC West for the first time since 2010, after moving into a tie for the division lead with the Broncos, who have lost two of their last three games.

The Oakland Raiders haven't had much success in a long time, and currently haven't won a game since November 2013, giving them the fourth longest losing streak in NFL history. As bad as their record is, the Raiders have been competitive in six of their 10 games this season, so it is only a matter of time before they end their 16 game winless streaks, and they would love nothing more than to end it against their old rivals.

The Chiefs have been successful this season following the same formula they did last year, they have run the ball well with Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis, while playing very good defense all year. Jamaal Charles should have plenty of room to run against Oakland, because they have one of the worst run defenses in the NFL, which should allow Alex Smith to have time to find his open receivers in the passing game.

The Chiefs will also bring a lot of pressure on defense, to force rookie quarterback Derek Carr to make some mistakes, and if the Raiders can't get their running game going, it will be easier for the Chiefs to get a good pass rush going against the rookie.

Derek Carr has been one of the few bright spots for the Raiders, and looks like the type of player that they can build their franchise around, because he has played very well for them, considering they lack of a running game, and inexperienced wide receivers. He will have a tough time moving the chains in this game, because the Chiefs have the best pass defense in the league, and will make it a very miserable day for him if his offensive line can't protect him.

Game Line: The Chiefs are favored to win the game by 7.5 points, the Over/Under is 43.5 points.

Personal Pick: The Chiefs will give the Raiders their 17th straight loss.
