PGA Golf Tour Previews: 2013 Travelers Championship fom June 20th to 23rd

Travelers Championship

The PGA Tour heads to TPC Rier Highlands in Cromwell, CT for the Travelers Championship. The defending champion is Marc Leishman and a total purse of $6.1 million will be at stake. The winning share is $1.08 million with 500 FedEx Cup points at stake. GOLF will televise the action on Thursday and Friday from 6 to 6 PM ET and on Saturday from 2 to 2:30 PM ET with a Sunday telecast from 1-2:30 PM ET.

CBS will have Saturday and Sunday coverage from 3 to 6 PMET. BetPhoenix Sportsbook will have odds on this tournament and the all major golf events!

The Field

Justin Rose is coming off a big win with the Golf odds last week at the US Open. He has played in 9 events this year and made the cut 8 times with 5 top 10 finishes. He is 6th in the FedEx Cup standings and was 8th at the Memorial prior to winning the US Open.

Lee Westwood has played in 12 events with 5 top 10 finishes as he made the cut 11 times. Westwood was 15th at the US Open after having to withdraw from the Masters. He has been consistent lately with an 8th at The Players, a 4th at the Wells Fargo Championship, and 8th at The Masters at Augusta National Golf Club.

Bubba Watson has played in 12 events this year and made the cut 10 times with 2 top 10 finishes. He was32nd at the US Open.

Ian Poulter has played in 9 events this year and made the cut 7 times with 2 top 10 finishes and is coming off a 21st place finish in the US Open.

Angel Cabrera has played in 13 events this year with 10 cuts made and is coming off a poor performance last week at the US Open in which he missed the cut. Prior to that he was 31st at the Crowne Plaza Invitational.

Padraig Harrington has played in 12 events this year with 8 cuts made and 3 top 10 finishes. He is coming off a 21st place finish at the US Open which followed a 10th place finish at the FedEx St. Jude Classic.
