You are here

Manchester City vs Dynamo Kyiv

Last week the second leg of the UEFA Champions League kicked off as Wolfsburg sent Gent packing home as did Real Madrid to Roma. Benfica defeated Zenit, passing through, the same as Paris SG against Chelsea.

Now, the second set of games get going and we’ve got the game analysis just below.

Manchester City vs Dynamo Kyiv

  • Time: Tuesday, March 15, 2016 3:45 PM ET

Betting on Manchester City

It’s a historic time for Manchester City in this tournament, that is if they manage to make it through this stage, something which seems entirely possible with a two goal advantage over the Ukrainian team.

Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Yaya Toure took it upon themselves to strike against Dynamo and secured three golden away goals.

This gives them the definite advantage as they head home to defend their pitch with a lot more leeway to pass through even if they give up a couple of goals. Dynamo would have to win by four goals for Manchester City to lose their place in the quarterfinals.

Man City is expected to win at home, where they’ve been extremely effective in scoring goals, with 39 goals in 15 games played on their home pitch in the Premier League.

Betting on Dynamo Kyiv

It’s worse than a rocky road for the Ukrainian team. With being down 3 goals and playing away, it’s unlikely they’ll get any further and have practically punched their ticket home already.

As with Zenit Petersburg, the Ukrainians players haven’t had much of an opportunity to stay sharp because of the offseason. Though they’ve already picked up some steam playing a few league games, it’s probably too little, too late.

Game Predictions: Manchester City wins 3-1.

PSV Eindhoven vs Atletico Madrid

  • Time: Tuesday, March 15, 2016 3:45 PM ET

Betting on PSV

It’s been nine years since PSV has reached the quarterfinals in the UEFA Champions, and to do so they’ll have to get through Atletico first.

That might prove to be an even bigger problem, considering they’ve not won on Spanish grounds over their last twelve attempts. And, with Guardado, Lestienne listed as doubtful due to injury and with Pereiro suspended, they’re even further hobbled to get the job done.

Regardless, PSV has a shot. One which they’ll take, hoping to score a valuable away goal.

Betting on Atletico Madrid

Contrary to PSV, it would be Atletico’s third time straight that they would make it to the quarterfinals. Though holding a relative advantage in playing at Vicente Calderon, the Spanish team could not secure an away goal and are now forced to keep the Dutch team from finding the back of the net.

Atletico is in top shape though to get the job done. Atletico is having one of its best season this year, scoring three goals in each of their last three games to record victories and keep the pressure up on Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

Game Predictions: Atletico wins 3-1.
