A Look At Upcoming MMA Events

A Look At Upcoming MMA Events

There is plenty of MMA action coming up this weekend, which is good news for fight fans. There are also going to be a few big names in action, so you can expect to see some very good fights. On Friday, Bellator 138 is going to take place in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, the UFC will be having a Fight Night in Berlin, Germany, and on the 26th, the Warriors Cage will have an event in Colorado. These upcoming MMA events will give fans plenty of opportunities to bet on MMA fights, while enjoying the fights.

Bellator 138.

Bellator 138 kicks off the upcoming MMA events, with a main event that features Kimbo Slice vs Ken Shamrock. Most MMA fans remember Kimbo Slice, the street brawler that was a YouTube sensation, who became an MMA fighter. Slice competed at EliteXC and the UFC, but was never able to become the fighter that they had hoped he would be, and was released by the UFC in 2010. He then turned to boxing, and had some success, going 7-0 as a professional boxer, but he never fought any big name fighters. He signed with Bellator in January 2015, and this will be his first fight with the promotion.

Ken Shamrock is a former UFC champion, and a UFC Hall of Famer, but at the age of 51, he isn’t the same fighter that he used to be. But he is one of the toughest men alive, and will be up to the challenge.

Fight Odds and predictions.

Kimbo Slice is the favorite going into this fight, the money line is currently -275 for him to win, and +215 for Shamrock.

My Pick: Kimbo Slice is a knockout artist, and he doesn’t have a ground game, so I expect Shamrock to take him to the ground and tap him out, so I like his MMA betting odds.

UFC Fight Night.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Penne are featured in the main event at UFC Fight Night in Berlin, Jedrzejczyk is the current strawweight champion, she is undefeated in her MMA career, and 3-0 in the UFC, after defeating Carla Esparza for the belt. She is an excellent striker, who can put opponents down with her power, but she is also good on the ground, which presents a lot of problems for her opponents.

Jessica Penne is a very good grappler, so she will try to avoid standing up and trading punches with the champion, by taking her to the ground. Once on the ground, she will attempt to submit the Jedrzejcyk, because she has a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Fight Odds and Predictions.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is the favorite to win this fight, the money line is -800 for her to win, and +500 for Penne.

My Pick: Joanna Jedrzejcyk’s striking will be too much for Jessica Penne to handle, allowing her to win the fight.

The Warriors Cage

Cage fighting fans are looking forward to next week’s heavyweight fight between Lavar Johnson and Eric Prindle, in the main event of the Warriors Cage event. Johnson is a former UFC and Bellator fighter, making his Warriors Cage debut. He has some cage fighting experience from fighting in World Extreme Cagefighting, early in his career. He is a knockout artist that has 16 knockouts in his 18 professional wins.

Eric Prindle is also a former Bellator fighter, making his Warriors Cage debut. He is trying to get his career back on track, after losing five of his last six fights, but he will have his work cut out for him against Johnson.

My Pick: Johnson is a very powerful striker, and he is likely going to knockout Prindle, who has been knocked out in his last two fights.
