3 Must Bet NBA Games Today

You are here

I have my eye on three NBA games to bet on tonight. The Thunder rumbles on to Washington to face the Wizards, will you bet it? Is the Hawks a good bet against the Trailblazers? And finally, what is the best bet in the Warriors vs Nuggets?

3 Must Bet NBA Games Today

What: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Washington Wizards
When: February 13, 2017, 8:00 PM ET
Where: Verizon Center
Spread: Thunder -5
Over/Under: 216.5
TV: TNT

Analysis: The Thunder needs to pick itself up after getting thrashed by the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, 130-114. While it was an opportunity for OKC to welcome back Kevin Durant with win, they missed a golden opportunity. That’s despite Russell Westbrook’s 47 points, 11 boards and eight dishes. The Thunder simply could not recover from the 20-plus point deficit they fell behind right before the halftime break. Against Washington, they also face an uphill struggle; the Wizards have won nine of their last 10 games and are now on a three-game win streak after defeating the Pacers on Friday. Though the Thunder is favored by the odds by 5 points, the Wizards are actually 16-5 ATS in their last 21 home games. It’ll be another embarrassing loss for the Thunder.

Prediction: Wizards defend their home court and win. Washington +5.

What: Atlanta Hawks vs Portland Trailblazers
When: February 13, 2017, 10:30 PM ET
Where: Moda Center
Spread: Portland -1
Over/Under: 217
TV: TNT

Analysis: Atlanta heads to Moda Center to attempt a road win at the Trailblazers’ home court. The Hawks have split their last six road games, but have a fair shot at winning. Currently, their averaging 104 points on 45 percent shooting, while allowing 104 poi nts on 44 percent shooting. They’re led by the duo of Paul Millsap, who averages 18 points per game, and Dennis Schroder, who averages 17 points per game. Meanwhile, the Trailblazers defend as the slight 1-point favorites. Portland has also split their last eight games and are averaging 107 points on 45 percent shooting while allowing 110 points. They’re led by Damian Lillard, who is averaging 26.1 points and 5.8 assists, while C.J. McCollum is averaging 23.5 points and 3.7 rebounds.

Prediction: This is a must win for the Trail Blazers. Though they’re 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs the Eastern Conference and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall, I believe they’ll win and cover. Take Portland at -1.

What: Golden State Warriors vs Denver Nuggets
When: February 13, 2017, 9:00 PM ET
Where: Pepsi Center
Spread: Warriors -11.5
Over/Under: 239.5
TV:

Analysis: The Warriors have won eight of their last nine, including a big win over the Thunder on Saturday, 130-114. Kevin Durant led the way with 34 points on 12 of 21 shooting while Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson added 26 points each. Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets lost five of their last eight games and hope to bounce back though their chances of winning are slim. Nikola Jokic has been hot lately as he finished with 27 points, 13 rebounds and four assists after pouring in a career-best 40 points on Friday. But the Nuggets will need much more than that to stop the Warriors’ scoring machine.

Prediction: Warriors rumble to another easy win. Take them at -11.5.
