4 Must Bet NBA Games This Week

The 2017 NBA betting season is in full swing and it is time to take a look at my top NBA betting picks of the week. Happy hunting.

The Golden State Warriors are also in the spotlight with a pair of games that both look like fun-filled affairs that are offering a bunch of value. Last but not least, James Harden and the surprising Houston Rockets will also take to the court in two contests that look like entertaining affairs, including their Wednesday nigh road dates against the Dubs.

Now, let’s get started with my NBA picks of the week.

New York at Boston
When: Wednesday, January 18 at 7:30 PM ET
Where: TD Garden, Boston, MA

Analysis: The Boston Celtics are getting an absolutely jaw-dropping campaign from point guard Isaiah Thomas and are starting to heat up in a big way recently. The New York Knicks are still playing uneven basketball and just can’t seem to get out if their own way while dealing with the constant distraction that has president Phil Jackson has become.

The C’s have won eight of their last 10 games while New York has gone a polar opposite 2-8 over their last 10. The Knicks are getting outscored by 3.1 points per game while Boston averages 2.3 points per game more than they’re putting up. Thomas and the Celtics win this matchup by eight (8) points minimum.

Pick: Boston 110 New York 102

Milwaukee at Houston
When: Wednesday, January 18 at 8:00 PM ET
Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX

Analysis: Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of the young Milwaukee Bucks are blossoming before our very eyes and have won six of their L/10 games, but the playoff hopeful Bucks are just 8-10 on the road this season.

James Harden and the red-hot Houston Rockets have gone 8-2 over their last 10 and 16-4 on their home floor. Don’t expect a lot of defense in this affair as Houston gets the outright home win by nine.
Pick: Houston 114 Milwaukee 105

Oklahoma City at Golden State
When: Wednesday, January 18 at 10:30 PM ET
Where: Oracle Arena, San Francisco, CA

Analysis: I know Oklahoma City is getting a jaw-dropping campaign from point guard Russell Westbrook, but the Thunder are just 10-11 on the road this season and a modest 5-5 over their last 10 games.

Golden State has heated up nicely over the last two weeks by going 8-2 over the stretch, not to mention the fact that they’re 18-3 at home this season. The Dubs will send a message to the Thunder in this one that, should they meet in the playoffs, Oklahoma City won’t have a chance!

Pick: Golden State 116 Oklahoma City 106

Golden State at Houston
When: Friday, January 20 at 8:00 PM ET
Where: Toyota Center, Houston, TX

Analysis: Who cares who wins this matchup? Simply place a wager on the Over, no matter, unless it tops 225 points. The Warriors and Rockets average over 230 combined points while allowing a combined 213.0 points per game.

Pick: Houston 114 Golden State 110

San Antonio at Cleveland
When: Saturday, January 21 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

Analysis: The Cleveland Cavaliers may be virtual shoo-ins to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals in June, but LeBron James and the Cavs aren’t getting the home win against a Spurs team that I believe is waiting to put on a special performance for them.

The Cavs are 18-3 at home this season, but the Spurs are one of the best road teams in the league, having gone 17-4 away from home this season. I like Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs to get the road upset over Cleveland.

Pick: San Antonio 106 Cleveland 102
