With the completion of the 2016 NFL season, basketball is back in the spotlight and you could cash in big as the NBA moves back to center stage in the North American sporting landscape.

Will Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics get the road win against Boogie Cousins and the dysfunctional Sacramento Kings on Friday night?

Will Russell Westbrook ‘get his revenge’ against Zaza Pachulia ad the Golden State Warriors on Saturday?

Last but not least, can blossoming star Devin Booker be able to lead the young Phoenix Suns to the ‘Saturday Night Special’ road upset against James Harden and the high-scoring Houston Rockets?

Let’s find out the answers to all three questions right now.

NBA Free Picks Of The Week

What: Boston Celtics (33-18) at Sacramento Kings (20-31)
When: Wednesday, February 8, 2017
Tip-off: 10:30 PM ET
Where: Sacramento, CA
Stadium: Golden 1 Center
Watch: CSCA, CSNE

Analysis: Heading into Monday,Boston had won an impressive seven straight games, including their 107-102 nationally-televised win over the Clippers on Sunday.

Conversely, Sacramento played one of its best games of the season to beat Golden State 109-106 in overtime on Saturday to snap a three-game losing streak.

For me, the Boston Celtics are the pick to get the outright road win for a handful of reasons, First and foremost, Boston plays team basketball where they share the ball and actually pass it to the open man.

The Celtics also have the league’s best fourth quarter performer and a true superstar in point guard Isaiah Thomas and the best young head coach in the league today. The C’s bet the Kings 97-92 at home in December and will win this road matchup by six

Pick: Boston 106 Sacramento 100

What: Golden State Warriors (43-8) at Oklahoma City Thunder (30-22)
When: Saturday, February 11, 2017
Tip-off: 8:30 PM ET
Where: Oklahoma City, OK
Stadium: Chesapeake Energy Arena
Watch: ABC

Analysis: Heading into Monday, Golden State was looking to bounce back from its humbling 109-106 overtime loss against Sacramento on Saturday while Oklahoma City won their second straight game by getting a team-high 42 points from Russell Westbrook to bet Portland 105-99 on Super Bowl Sunday.
While Westbrook will come into this matchup looking to extract some revenge against the Warriors and center Zaza Pachulia in particular, for their run-in in Golden State’s 121-100 win on February 11, I just don’t see him getting it against a Warriors team that is clearly superior to Oklahoma City.

While both teams give up just over 105.0 points per game in this Western Conference clash, Steph Curry and the Dubs average almost 13 points per game more than Westbrook and the Thunder. Golden State wins by a half-dozen points minimum.

Pick: Golden State 112 Oklahoma City 106

What: Phoenix Suns (16-35) at Houston Rockets (37-17)
When: Saturday, February 11, 2017
Tip-off: 9:00 PM ET
Where: Houston, TX
Stadium: Toyota Center
Watch: RTSW, FSAZ

Analysis: Heading into Monday, the Suns had dropped six of their previous seven games including their 137-112 blowout loss at Milwaukee on Saturday. On the flip side of the coin, Houston had won two of three including its 121-117 overtime win over Chicago on Friday behind James Harden’s game-high 42 points.

While young Phoenix shooting guard Devin Booker is quietly moving to star status and is the only player in the league with multiple 25-point quarters this season, the Houston Rockets are the easy pick to win this game by double digits. Houston has far too much firepower, not to mention the edge in experience and motivation as they try to keep pace with the Warriors and Spurs in the Western Conference. Houston wins by 10 at the very least.

Pick: Houston 117 Phoenix 107
