Houston Rockets vs Los Angeles Clippers

  • When: April 10, 2017, 10:30 PM ET
  • Where: STAPLES Center
  • Spread: Clippers -7
  • Over/Under: 229

Will the Rockets Win?

The Rockets are looking ahead to the playoffs already and decided to rest most of their stars. Last night, Patrick Beverley, Trevor Ariza, and Eric Gordon all sat out in Houston’s game against Sacramento. Nevertheless, only James Harden was needed for the Rockets to notch another win on their record. Whether or not Harden takes the court tonight remains to be seen, maybe coach Mike D’Antoni will rely on Ryan Anderson, Clint Capela, Lou Williams and Bobby Brown or any one of the other starters to  seal the deal.

Will the Clippers Win?

The Clippers still have plenty on the line at this point in the season; LA can secure home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs if they win their last two games or if the Jazz tank. The Clippers are on a roll and have won their last five games straight, so there’s a pretty good chance they can seal the deal tonight.

LA just won over the San Antonio Spurs, 98-87, and picked up some steam heading into the playoffs. Chris Paul led the way with 19 points, 8 boards, and 8 dishes, while DeAndre Jordan put up 17 points of his own. Blake Griffin has a relatively quiet night, putting up just 1 8 points and grabbing 8 rebounds.

Betting Trends

  • Houston is 0-4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Houston is 10-5 SU in its last 15 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Houston's last 7 games
  • LA Clippers is 2-3-1 ATS in its last 6 games
  • LA Clippers is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • LA Clippers is 4-8-1 ATS in its last 13 games at home

Game Prediction: Should the Rockets rest Harden and the rest of their star players, I’m betting on the Clippers to win and cover. LA will win nevertheless, but just be mindful of what you bet on.

Utah Jazz vs Golden State Warriors

  • When: April 10, 2017, 10:30 PM ET
  • Where: Oracle Arena
  • Spread: Warriors -10
  • Over/Under: 206.5

Will the Jazz Win?

The Jazz have a difficult road game ahead of them. Trying to beat the best team in the NBA at the moment, on their home court not the least, isn’t exactly a cakewalk. Utah is fighting for home-court advantage and the fourth seed in the division, so every game that’s left is important. However, the Jazz have split their last four, losing their last game against the Portland Trail Blazers, 101-86. What makes it even more difficult is that some of their players are sidelined because of injuries and this perhaps could be a big factor that carries forward into the playoffs.

Will the Warriors Win?

The Warriors have already done their job to secure position in the playoffs. And, they’ve also got Kevin Durant back just in time as well. Durant took the court against the New Orleans Pelicans and wound up with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in a lopsided win where he didn’t have to exert himself too much. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green added a combined 33 points, while Stephen Curry sat out with a bruised knee.

Betting Trends

  • Utah is 5-2 SU in its last 7 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Utah's last 6 games
  • Utah is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • Golden State is 10-1-2 ATS in its last 13 games
  • Golden State is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Golden State's last 6 games

Game Prediction: Even while it’s a 10 point spread, the Warriors will win and cover.
