Betting on the Celtics
The Celtics wouldn’t have it and did not roll over to take another loss in Game 3. Boston pulled out all the stops and won in Cleveland 111-108.
The win came despite Isaiah Thomas’ absence, which for all intents and purposes gave the Celtics more amplitude and seemingly sharpened their perimeter shots. Boston hit 18 of 14 shots from downtown with March Smart accounting from seven threes.
However, Avery Bradley was the real leader in this game, putting up 20 points including three from beyond the three point line. Al Horford nevertheless continues to struggle and up to this point has only gone 15 of 28 from the field through three games.
The Celtics’ bench did step up with the pair of Jonas Jerebko and Kelly Olynyk accounting for a combined 25 points and plenty of power from within the paint.
