Houston Rockets Betting

Despite a good effort from James Harden, who scored 40 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds, the Rockets still fell to the visiting Washington Wizards on Saturday night by a score of 123-122.

Following a 9-3 stretch last month, the Rockets are trying to avoid a season high-tying fourth consecutive defeat. James Harden attempted to pick them up with 40 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and four steals in Saturday's 123-122 home loss to Washington.

Their job against the Heat tonight gets even harder with center Dwight Howard’s suspension. Howard was kicked out in Saturday’s loss after a melee with Wizards center Nene with just over 8 minutes left in the game. This comes after the Rockets had petitioned the NBA to rescind the four technical fouls given to Howard over the past two games according to what sources ESPN.

Miami Heat Betting:

The Heat has risen to the top of the Southeast Division with help from Dwyane Wade and Amar’e Stoudemire, who have had to fill in the holes left by Hassan Whiteside’s absence.

Wade was named Eastern Conference player of the week after averaging 24.0 points on 50.0 percent shooting with 7.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks along the four-game run that has the Heat (27-21) percentage points ahead of Atlanta atop the division. Meanwhile, Stoudemire only played in 12 of the first 40 games before getting called unto the court when Whiteside left with a strained left hip. He's averaged 9.3 points on 59.5 percent shooting and pulling down 7.5 rebounds over the past six.

It’s expected that Whiteside return for this game, which sways the pendulum in the Heat’s favor. The Heat is now running on its longest winning streak since King James left for Cleveland.
