NBA Previews: Brooklyn Nets vs Cleveland Cavaliers

The NBA is definitely heating up now and this season just keeps on getting better and better as we head deeper into it. And, even if one of the teams in this preview is sinking faster than the Titanic, it just means there might be a big opportunity to cash in with your bets.

Bet on the Brooklyn Nets

The shit just keeps piling up for the Nets with their most recent loss to Orlando on Tuesday by 34 points. This was Brooklyn’s fourth consecutive loss to the Magic and their ninth out of their last twelve games. Brooklyn had nothing to contain Aaron Gordon who stuck them with 20 points, a career high for him.

And, as the heavy 14-point underdog, this game doesn’t look any better for Brooklyn if they can’t make adjustments to the way they’re playing. The Nets have been pretty much outscored and outplayed by their opponents who are putting up embarrassing numbers on them without any answer back.

The only high notes for this team seems to be Thomas Robinson, who scored 18 points and grabbed 12 boards against Orlando, and Sean Kilpatrick, who also had double figures in that game.

Bet on the Cleveland Cavaliers

Though the Cavs are in a slump, losing three out of their last six, they’re still better than Nets. Their most recent loss came at the hands of the Houston Rockets; after leading by 20 points, somehow Cleveland managed to lose 106-100.

But, because King James will be back in the fold for this game, it should give the Cavs some certainty to win this game outright.

James is clearly the motor in this team. Without him, the Cavs pretty much suck and you get what happened with the Rockets. So Cleveland fans can breath easier knowing that he’ll be there to close the victory. James is averaging 24.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steal in three games against the Nets this year.
