Two NBA Games To Bet On Tonight: Previews, Picks and Predictions

The NBA is full of surprises heading into the final stretch right before the playoffs. We’ve got two great games for you to bet on tonight, so keep reading to find out more.

San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors

  • Time: Thursday, April 07, 2016 10:30 PM ET
  • Place: Oracle Arena
  • Betting Line: Golden State -7
  • Total: 209

The two top teams in the NBA are clashing tonight and you’d be crazy to miss this game not only because of this, but because the Warriors could also be headed to breaking the Bulls 1995-96 record of wins in a season.

San Antonio Spurs Betting

After clinching a win over the Jazz on Tuesday night, the Spurs picked up some motivation to face the Warriors. With seconds left in the clock, Kawhi Leonard hit the game winner and took San Antonio to 65-12. And, though Leonard did not have a good game, scoring only 18 points, he did score when it mattered the most.

Tonight’s game will be the Spurs’ true test. Heading to the home of the defending champions is never easy, though they’ve fared well against Golden State, managing to keep their shooters under wraps and to a low score. San Antonio is allowing 92.5 points per game, which is the best in the league, and managed to contain Curry the last time around, allowing him only 14 points on just 4-of-18 shooting.

The Spurs’ offense also pulls its weight and though their highlight is defense, they’re still ranked among the top teams in scoring with an average of 104 points per game.

Golden State Warriors Betting

The Warriors just had a costly loss to Timberwolves on Tuesday in overtime. However, they still have a shot to break the 1995-95 Bulls record for wins in a season.

Nobody could argue the Warriors’ offense is impressive. Despite this, one could argue their defense is not. The loss to Minnesota now forces them to win their next four games if they want to break the record. And, the Spurs are as tough competition as it comes, so it’s hard to predict the outcome of this game.

Last time around, the Spurs put a clamp on Curry, so it’s not crazy to believe they’ll be up to the task of slowing him down in this game as well.  Against the Timberwolves, Curry struggled hitting only 7 of 25 shots and the Spurs’ defense is much better than that of Minnesota’s.

Regardless, the Warriors will fight for a repeat and will do whatever it takes to win it tonight.

Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat

  • Time: Thursday, April 07, 2016 8:00 PM ET
  • Place: American Airlines Arena

Miami’s ticket to the playoffs has been secured and heading into tonight’s game against the Bulls shouldn’t present too much of a problem. However, because they’re still in the running for the Southeast Division title, they’ll still have to work it to win.

Chicago Bulls Betting

The Chicago Bulls’ chances of making it to the playoffs are hanging on a thread with their most recent loss to Memphis on Tuesday. However, because Detroit also lost their game, they still have a shot of passing through albeit it being a long one. To do so, means they have to win tonight’s game which might be easier said than done.

The Bulls have not been all too successful against against Miami this year, losing all three previous games. But, the extra motivation of passing through might just light a fire in their bellies enough to push them to win.

Jimmy Butler will have to kick it up at least three notches for them to win tonight. He simply cannot have another showing as he did against Minnesota, only hitting 2-of-8 from the field and scoring paltry 5 points. Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose will have to step up as well, if they want to defeat Miami at home.

The Bulls will have focus on defense as well and not allow room to the Heat’s shooters. The Bulls have given up just under 100 points over the last five games, which is around what the Heat has scored over their last 16 matches.

Miami Heat Betting

With a win over the Pistons on Tuesday, the Heat is now 45-32. Dwayne Wade leads an offense that’s managed to get the job done over their last six games. Wade is averaging just around 25 points, with 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in his last three games. Dragic, Deng and Johnson all have scored in the double digits over the past four games. Dragic racked up 30 points in their game against Detroit, while Hassan Whiteside has also been solid at center, both in scoring and rebounding as well as in blocking shots.

The Heat’s weakness is their inability to keep the ball in their hands, being prone to turnovers which could lead to an upset tonight.

Betting Stats

  • Chicago is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games
  • Chicago is 3-6 SU in its last 9 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Chicago's last 5 games
  • Miami is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games when playing Chicago
  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Miami's last 8 games when playing Chicago
  • Miami is 15-5 SU in its last 20 games when playing at home against Chicago

Free Prediction: The Heat wins but does not cover. Bet Miami to win outright.
