More NFL News

Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers

  • When: September 28, 2017, 8:25 PM ET
  • Where: Lambeau Field
  • Spread: Packers -7
  • Over/Under: 45.5
  • Moneyline: Packers -325 vs Bears +270

Analysis: Green Bay has had to fight tooth and claw to win games.

The Packers star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, didn’t get too much wiggle room in their most recent game against the Bengals.

And, he probably won’t get too much in the next game up against the Bears, who have a tough defensive front to go along a solid running game.

Prediction: Bears pull an upset at win. Chicago +7.

New Orleans Saints at Miami Dolphins

  • When: October 01, 2017, 9:30 AM ET
  • Where: Wembley Stadium
  • Spread: Saints -2.5
  • Over/Under: 49
  • Moneyline: Saints -145 vs Dolphins +125

Analysis: The Dolphins can’t seem to get going, not even against the Jets.

However, I don’t expect Jay Ajayi to stay too quiet and will pick himself up against the Saints who once more have major problems stopping the run.

Prediction: I believe the Saints will win, but it’s the Dolphins that’ll cover. Take Miami plus the points.

Buffalo Bills at Atlanta Falcons

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium
  • Spread: Falcons -8
  • Over/Under: 48
  • Moneyline: Falcons -380 vs Bills +320

Analysis: The Bills are a strong defensive team that have managed to keep opponents under 12.3 per game.

However, they now face the power-packed offense of the Atlanta Falcons led by Matt Ryan.

Though it’ll be a stretch, the Falcons will be able to put up enough points to win.

Prediction: Falcons win and cover. Take Atlanta at -8.5.

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: FirstEnergy Stadium
  • Spread: Bengals -3.5
  • Over/Under: 40
  • Moneyline: Bengals -180 vs Browns +160

Analysis: It’s seems the Browns are making a habit of losing by three points. Yet, unlike their Week 1 loss to the Steelers, they were the road favorites last week against the Colts.

The Bengals haven’t played well in any of their three games.

I believe the Browns will pull off an upset.

Prediction: Browns to win at +3.5.

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: U.S. Bank Stadium
  • Spread: TBD
  • Over/Under: TBD
  • Moneyline: TBD

The Lions are making this their season after three games that include double-digit wins over the Cardinals and Giants, and a loss to the defending NFC champion Falcons at home by a single score.

I think Stafford will out maneuver Case Keenum to beat the Vikings.

Prediction: Lions win.

Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: FirstEnergy Stadium
  • Spread: Bengals -3.5
  • Over/Under: 40
  • Moneyline: Bengals -180 vs Browns +160

Analysis: Whatever hopes the Panthers had of a healthy Cam Newton, it’s apparent it’s not the case given how Carolina’s offense is playing.

Given Newton’s lingering shoulder injury, a win at Foxborough is unlikely.

Prediction: New England at -8.5.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: MetLife Stadium
  • Spread: Bengals -3.5
  • Over/Under: 40
  • Moneyline: Bengals -180 vs Browns +160

Analysis: Jacksonville has impressed with its two blowout wins. However, I still remain cautious with Blake Bortles consistency.

I do have more faith in the Jaguars’ defense though and believe they’ll do fine in stopping the Jets.

Prediction: Jaguars to win and cover.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: M&T Bank Stadium
  • Spread: Steelers -.5
  • Over/Under: 43.5
  • Moneyline: Steelers -122 vs Ravens +103

Analysis: I expected much more from the Steelers. Given how strong a team Pittsburgh seemed to be heading into this season, the fact that players such as Le’Veon Bell haven’t come up with much is pretty disappointing.

Even if the Ravens haven’t really impressed either, I think they have enough to keep it together in this game.

Prediction: Ravens to cover.

Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: NRG Stadium
  • Spread: Titans -1.5
  • Over/Under: 43.5
  • Moneyline: Titans -125 vs Texans +105

Analysis: The Titans are crushing it after 30-plus point wins against the top defenses of the Jags and Seahawks.

And, I think they have the steam to possibly make it three-in-a-row against the Texans.

Though DeShaun Watson finally seems to have kicked into gear, I believe he might be shot down by the feisty Titans.

Prediction: Titans -1

Philadelphia Eagles at Los Angeles Chargers

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: NRG Stadium
  • Spread: Titans -1.5
  • Over/Under: 43.5
  • Moneyline: Titans -125 vs Texans +105

Analysis: The Chargers are scrambling to not fall 4-0. Their loss to the Chiefs has to have Phillip Rivers up in frenzy and he’ll come out gunning.

Maybe the Eagles’ relatively weak run defense will provide some motivation to kick start LA’s running game. Melvin Gordon needs to come up big in this game.

Prediction: Take the Chargers at -1.

New York Giants at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • When: October 01, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: NRG Stadium
  • Spread: Titans -1.5
  • Over/Under: 43.5
  • Moneyline: Titans -125 vs Texans +105

Analysis: Though the Giants are in a 0-3 hole, there are some signs their sleeping giant, namely Odell Beckham Jr., is about to wake up.

Against the Eagles, Beckham was ripping it through the air; considering how soft the Bucs’ secondary was against the Vikings, I suspect he might be licking his chops heading into this game.

Prediction: Giants win and cover.

Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos

  • When: October 01, 2017, 4:25 PM ET
  • Where: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
  • Spread: Broncos -3
  • Over/Under: 46.5
  • Moneyline: Broncos -123 vs Raiders +104

Analysis: The Raiders dropped a clunker against the Redskins on Sunday night. Everything went South right from the get go for Oakland as was evident when Derek Carr’s first throw was picked off.

I don’t have much hope for them bouncing back against the tough Broncos defense. In fact, it’s going to be Denver’s passing game that exploits the Raiders’ secondary.

Prediction: Broncos win.

Indianapolis Colts at Seattle Seahawks

  • When: October 01, 2017, 8:30 PM ET
  • Where: CenturyLink Field
  • Spread: Seahawks -13
  • Over/Under: 41.5
  • Moneyline: Seahawks -950 vs Colts +700

Analysis: The Seahawks dropped the ball on defense in their lost to the Titans on Sunday.

Doubtless they’ll recover against the Colts though and will close things down. The Colts offense won’t really get a shot given how their offense has been playing.

Prediction: Seattle to win and cover.

Washington Redskins at Kansas City Chiefs

  • When: October 02, 2017, 8:30 PM ET
  • Where: Arrowhead Stadium
  • Spread: Chiefs -6.5
  • Over/Under: 49.5
  • Moneyline: Chiefs -275 vs Redskins +230

Analysis: The Redskins have been playing extremely well. In fact, their win over the Raiders on Sunday was eye-opening and gave glimpses of how some players may have breakout seasons.

This game might turn out to be the game of the week in my book. While I’m not certain Washington can pull off an upset on the Chiefs’ turf, they’ll certainly give them a run for their money.

Prediction: Chiefs win but the Redskins cover.
