Week 15 ATS Picks and Previews

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers

When: December 17, 2017, 4:25 PM ET
Where: Heinz Field
Spread: Patriots -2.5
Total: NA
Moneyline: Patriots -155 vs Steelers +135

This is obviously the game of the week. These two teams are tied at 11-2 after the Steelers won over the Ravens on Sunday Night Football and the Patriots defeated the Dolphins.

The Patriots didn’t impress on Monday Night Football though, neither Brady nor Bill Belichick looked happy with the outcome in Miami. But, that may spark some fire in their bellies heading to Pittsburgh.

The Steelers have Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Browns as their main offensive weapons, but so do the Patriots in Rob Gronkowski (among many other players) who will be back in the fold for this game.

This is a high-stakes game that will determine the No. 1 seed in the AFC. If the Patriots win the would clinch the top spot which means the Steelers are forced to win outright if they want the bag the No. 1 seed.

Patriots vs Steelers Betting Trends

  • New England is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games
  • New England is 8-1 ATS in its last 9 games on the road
  • Pittsburgh is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Pittsburgh is 1-4-1 ATS in its last 6 games when playing New England

ATS Pick: Patriots win and cover.

Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks

When: December 17, 2017, 4:05 PM ET
Where: CenturyLink Field
Spread: Seahawks -2
Total: 48
Moneyline: Seahawks -130 vs Rams +110

The Rams’ defense is suffering right now. This opens up an opportunity for Russell Wilson who will use his mobility and passing game, possibly with Jimmy Graham, to punch holes in LA’s stratagem.

The Rams just about lost their grip on the NFC West when they lost against the Eagles last week. This cannot be understated and they’ll be hurting in this game. I don’t think Jared Goff will be able to come up with too much momentum and that’s also the case with Todd Gurley.

This game is all about the NFC West title. Seattle has two more games left against Dallas and then Arizona, but they’re well aware that winning means hosting a playoff game. This will give them the extra motivation to win.

The Seahawks are also playing at home which gives them the advantage so I’m siding with Seattle on this one.

Rams vs Seahawks Betting Trends

  • LA Rams is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games
  • LA Rams is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Seattle is 2-4-1 ATS in its last 7 games
  • Seattle is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games at home

ATS Pick: Seahawks -2

Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs

When: December 16, 2017, 8:25 PM ET
Where: Arrowhead Stadium
Spread: Chargers -1
Total: 46
Moneyline: Chargers -125 vs Chiefs +105

There’s no denying the Chargers are the best team in the AFC West. They’re clearly come a long way since being at 0-4; on the other hand, the Chiefs seem to also be bouncing back.

Nevertheless, I expect Phillip Rivers to take charge and cut through the Chiefs’ secondary and awful pass rush. On the flip side, I also see LA’s pass rush and secondary stopping Alex Smith cold.

The Chargers have also done well in Arrowhead ATS. They’ve covered in four of the last five meetings and I expect this trend to continue even if they’ve not done too well against the spread as of late.

Chargers vs Chiefs Betting Trends

  • LA Chargers is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
  • LA Chargers is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games on the road
  • Kansas City is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Kansas City is 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games at home

ATS Pick: Chargers cover and win.

Cincinnati Bengals at Minnesota Vikings

When: December 17, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
Where: U.S. Bank Stadium
Spread: Vikings -11
Total: 42
Moneyline: Vikings -530 vs Bengals +435

The Vikings seemed to have dropped the ball on several occasions in their game in Carolina. All the more reason for them to come out gunning against the Bengals that are in for a punishing.

The Viking are also playing at home after a three-game road trip which after losing in Week 14 will give them more motivation to gain back respect in front of their crowd.

Case Keenum and company will make sure to open of the spigots offensively. The Vikings offense ranks seventh in the NFL in yards per game (369.3) and you can be certain they’ll be racking up as many yards in this game.

On the other side of the ball the Vikings defense ranks well in many categories, including third in yards per game and points per game. They’ll crush the Bengals offense like a can. Look for defensive end Everson Griffen to wreak havoc and gain at least a couple of sacks and linebacker Eric Kendricks to also lead the way in tackles.

Vikings vs Bengals Betting Trends

  • Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Cincinnati is 6-2 ATS in its last 8 games on the road
  • Minnesota is 6-1 ATS in its last 7 games at home
  • Minnesota is 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games

ATS Pick: Go for the Vikings, they’ll win and cover
