4 Reasons To Bet On The Atlanta Falcons To Win Super Bowl 51

The Wild Card weekend is over which only means that things will heat up faster than Gordon Ramsay in Hell’s Kitchen for those teams in the 2016 NFL Divisional Round. And, for the franchises that secured a first round bye, like the Atlanta Falcons, from here on out there’s no guarantee they’ll make it any further than Saturday, January the 14th when they face the Seattle Seahawks. But, the Falcons have a few things going for them in their quest for glory and I’ve come up with my five reasons why to bet on the Atlanta Falcons to win Super Bowl 51.

4 Reasons To Bet On The Atlanta Falcons To Win Super Bowl 51

1. Arguably the most underrated team in the postseason.

Let’s face it, it’s hard to find people that give the Falcons the respect they deserve. Throughout this entire year, naysayers have abounded like prairie dogs in spring. I get it, based on their previous years meltdowns it’s all too easy to discount this team’s chances of making it all the way to the Super Bowl. It might be easier still to believe that even if they do make it to the big game, their hopes will crash down like a house of cards if they end up facing a team like the Patriots. But, the numbers don’t lie and neither does the fact they’ve made it thus far and passed with flying colors in the face of naysayers and pundits alike.

2. They’re sizzling hot at the right time.

Maybe it’s because they lack the experience of other teams in this year’s playoffs that many argue this team will fizzle out against the Seahawks. However, Atlanta is sizzling hot right now heading into this game and as anyone knows, teams that get hot at the right time tend to do well in the postseason. Over their last few games in the regular season, the Falcons crushed their opponents which essentially turned them into the dominant team in the NFC since Week 14. Say what you will of the No. 1 seed Cowboys, or the Packers, or even the Patriots, I believe the Falcons will be one of the two teams to reach the Super Bowl.

3. Matty Ice

Go ahead Mr., try to badmouth Ryan’s role in the Falcons’ success this year. But, first try to argue your way out of denying that he deservedly is one of this year’s top candidates for the 2016 NFL MVP award. By whatever measure you take, Atlanta’s offense is a force of nature. Not only did the Falcons score more points than any team in the league, they also score more than any team in the playoffs.

Oh, by the way, they also come in with the highest number of offensive yards, average yards per game, and expected yards per game and guess what, Ryan has spearheaded the offense. Ryan finished the regular season with a 9.26 yards per attempt average, the highest for a quarterback with at least 500 attempts in league history. No other QB comes even close of that average, not even Brady.

4. Seasoned to kill

Even Navy SEALs know that preparing beforehand for shit to hit the fan for when shit does really hit the fan is key to winning. Guess what, the Falcons had the NFL’s toughest schedule this year and came away with 10 wins. On the road, they went 6-2 even while injury-riddled, in fact, they played better with a slew of players stepping up big time.
