5 Reasons To Bet On The Dallas Cowboys To Win Super Bowl 51

The 2016 Wild Card Weekend is in the books with the Houston Texans, Seattle Seattle Seahawks, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Green Bay Packers turning the page to find their way towards the pot at the end of the rainbow in Super Bowl 51. And now onward we go to the NFL Divisional Round where the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys are waiting.

If the Cowboys happen to be your choice to raise this year’s Vince Lombardy Trophy, here are 5 reasons to bet on Dallas to win Super Bowl 51. Let’s get started!

5 Reasons To Bet On The Dallas Cowboys To Win Super Bowl 51

1. An offensive roster chiseled to near perfection

Since 2010, Dallas management started to shape its offense which they crowned last year with running back Ezekiel Elliot and fourth-round pick quarterback Dak Prescott (respectively MVP and Offensive Rookie of the year) candidates. Even while these two have taken the NFL by storm, don’t forget they also have All-Pro offensive linemen Tyron Smith, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, and All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant.

2. An iron-clad curtain of an offensive line

Whatever Elliot and Prescott have achieved, it’s hard to think they would have as much success if they wouldn’t be working behind this offensive line. Smith, Frederick, and Martin are forces of nature as is La’el Collins who are Dallas’ Four Horsemen up front.

3. Ezekiel Elliot

Let’s go back to Elliot for a second; arguably, Elliot is the best running back in the league even when compared with Cardinal David Johnson and Steeler Le’Veon Bell. Not only is he on track of breaking the league’s NFL rushing record as a rookie, he may also bag the 2016 NFL MVP award.

4. Home field advantage.

That’s right. The Cowboys won’t be freezing their nuts off at Lambeau or having to go to the ear doctor after a visit to CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Instead, they’ll be playing their first game of the postseason in Arlington where Prescott has only thrown one interception and Elliot has proved to be somewhat unstoppable. And, a buck gets ten that this team is salivating at the prospect of making it all the way to the Super Bowl which is being held this year in their backyard at Houston. It wouldn’t get any better than this for Dallas.

5. The defense ain’t too shabby either

Let’s be honest folks, much of the attention deservedly goes to Dallas’ offense. However, even if the D doesn’t get much of the limelight, it’s done its job and done it well. It’s true they don’t have a powerful pass rush or a corner that turns heads, or even a kick-ass interior defensive lineman, but nevertheless the Cowboys are fifth in points allowed per game and didn’t allow a single 100-yard rush this year. That’s nothing to sneer at if you’re still not convinced the defense has pulled its own weight.
