7 Reasons To Bet On The New England Patriots To Win Super Bowl 51

If you were to say to me that you believe the Patriots will win Super Bowl 51, I’d have to agree with you. But why? While you may be able to come up with more than a handful of solid considerations, here’s are my top 7 reasons to bet on the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl 51

Ready, set, go!

7 Reasons To Bet On The New England Patriots To Win Super Bowl 51

1. The Best Tight End In The Playoffs Not Named Gronk

Come on now, would you argue against believing that part of the Patriots success has to do with having arguably the best tight ends in the league right now? Even with Gronk out for the season, Martellus Bennett is a matchup nightmare.

2. The Brady-Belichick Combo

OK, here’s the thing: four Super Bowl rings, six conference championships, 13 division titles, 177 regular season games and 22 postseason games and through them all both Brady and Belichick have been at the front line. Say what you will, love them or hate them, but these two will undoubtedly make it to the hallowed halls where football legends live some time soon. Need I say anything else?

3. Experience, Experience, Experience

Did I mention four Super Bowl rings? When it comes to this one game, experience has to count for something whatever the outcome is at the end of the game. If the four championships don’t dumbfound you, maybe the fact the Patriots have made it to the big game six times will. Nuff said.

4. Next Up Philosophy

Brady does tend to get all the attention, but there’s no such thing as a one-man-team and no matter Brady’s prowess as a quarterback, it wouldn’t make much of a difference, I think, if there weren’t as many equally impressive players on the Patriots roster. No matter who they lose, the Pats have someone to fill their cleats. Brady was suspended for the first four games of the season and the Pats went 3-1 with two un-tested QBs.

5. DeflateGate

Let’s not forget the Patriots couldn’t start with Brady at the helm through this year’s first four regular season games. That has to stick in Brady’s mind and surely he’ll want to stick it to every naysayer in town and make a point that no matter what they do he’s still the best game around.

6. An Underrated Defense

While everyone is paying attention to the Patriots offense, not a lot of people are watching what defensive coordinator Matt Patricia has concocted. Though giving up Chandler Jones and Jamie Collins has to have hurt, the Patriots still ranked second in points allowed per game and eighth in turnover differential.

7. Nate Solder and Dion Lewis

These two will be returning for this game which gives the offense even more power to cut through opposing defenses. Think about it, when these two were healthy back at the beginning of the season the Patriots averaged around 40 points per game and they made it this far despite their absence. Can you imagine what this offense can do now that they’re back?
