The start of the 2017 NFL season is finally here, which means there are a lot of great matchups to watch this weekend. We have taken a look at all the weekend’s matchups and these are the three games you have to watch.

Against The Spread Betting Picks, Predictions, Odds

Oakland Raiders vs Tennessee Titans

  • When: September 10, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Nissan Stadium
  • Spread: Titans -2.5
  • Over/Under: 50
  • Moneyline: Titans -140 vs Raiders +120

The Raiders finished last season 12-4, but their season effectively ended in the second to last game of the season when quarterback Derek Carr suffered a season-ending injury.

The team went on to lose to the Houston Texans in the first round of the playoffs, but felt they could have gone even farther with a healthy Carr.

Derek Carr was an MVP candidate last year and has thrown for more than 3,000 yards in each of his first three seasons.

This season, Carr is ready to go and the expectations in Oakland are even higher after the team managed to convince running back Marshawn Lynch to come out of retirement.

There are some who argue that Lynch might have lost a step or two because of his age and not playing for a year. But, even if that’s true he still should be deadly-efficient in gaining yards.

Oakland has a fast-paced offense that can get to the end zone in a lot of different ways. Carr will likely look to Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree to stretch the field and get the Titans’ defense in hot water.

The Titans finished 9-7 last year which was good for second in the AFC South, but missed out on the playoffs. This year, the team is hoping to improve on last year’s success and make the playoffs.

If the Titans offensive line can hold up against Oakland’s defense, Marcus Mariotta should have enough time to find his open receivers. Oakland was awful covering tight ends and the Titans have one of the best in the game in Delanie Walker.

There’s a lot of attention at the moment on Mariota’s health and the team’s new wide receivers, but it’s likely the Titans will go to their proven ground attack, using DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry to gain yards, control the clock and keep the Raiders’ offense off the field.

Raiders vs Titans Betting Trends

  • Oakland is 11-4 SU in its last 15 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 8 of Oakland's last 11 games
  • Oakland is 9-3 ATS in its last 12 games on the road
  • Tennessee is 7-16-1 ATS in its last 24 games
  • Tennessee is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 9 of Tennessee's last 13 games

Pick and Prediction

The Titans are favored to win this game by 2.5 points. The over/under on total points scored is 51.

Tennessee will be a tough opponent for any team this season, but the Raiders have more depth, which should help them win the game. Take Oakland +2.5.

Seattle Seahawks vs Green Bay Packers

  • When: September 10, 2017, 4:25 PM ET
  • Where: Lambeau Field
  • Spread: Packers -3
  • Over/Under: 51
  • Moneyline: Packers -160 vs Seahawks +140

This is a battle between two of the favorites to win the NFC.

The Seahawks had a disappointing year by their standards even though they won the NFC West and made the playoffs.

The team made a lot of roster improvements in the offseason, their most recent being the acquisition of Sheldon Richardson, so expect their defense to get back to their dominant ways.

For Seattle, this game comes down to the defense (No. 3 in scoring last year at 18.3 ppg allowed) because of the added weapons for Aaron Rodgers like tight end Martellus Bennett.

The Packers know that as long as they have Aaron Rodgers, they will always be a playoff contender.

After making it to the NFC Championship Game last season, the Packers have their eyes on the Super Bowl. With Jordy Nelson, Aaron Cobb, and Martellus Bennett, the Packers will have one of the best offenses in the NFL this season.

Even While Rodgers has started off slow in each of the last two seasons, I don’t expect him to follow the same trend this year. In fact, I believe he will throw close to 300 yards in this game with at least two touchdowns.

The Packers have also shored up their defense with the addition of Ahmad Brooks. I expect Brooks to make an immediate impact and he should force at least a couple of turnovers in this game.

Seahawks vs Packers Betting Trends

  • Seattle is 2-4 ATS in its last 6 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Seattle's last 7 games
  • Seattle is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games on the road
  • Green Bay is 4-1 ATS in its last 5 games
  • Green Bay is 8-1 SU in its last 9 games
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Green Bay's last 5 games

Pick and Prediction

The Packers are favored to win the game by 3 points. The over/under on total points scored is 51.

Green Bay is tough to beat at home, and the Seahawks have historically struggled on the road in recent years. However, the Seattle defense always gives Rodgers fits, so I’m taking the Seahawks +3 on this one.

New York Giants vs Dallas Cowboys

  • When: September 10, 2017, 8:30 PM ET
  • Where: AT&T Stadium
  • Spread: Cowboys -4
  • Over/Under: 48.5
  • Moneyline: Patriots -465 vs Chiefs +390

The NFC East rivals are sure to add another exciting chapter to their history on Sunday night.

The Giants returned to the playoffs last year after revamping their defense, and now have their sights set on the division crown and a Super Bowl run.

New York might be without receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who suffered an ankle injury during the preseason and hasn’t practiced since.

This game might come down to whether or not the Giants’ defense can hold back Dallas’ explosive offense. Even without Elliott, the Cowboys can move the ball effective and probably will score rather easily despite what Giants head coach, Ben McAdoo believes:

“All backs run the same when there is nowhere to run,” McAdoo said. “So, our goal is to do our job and be prepared to stop the run and if he’s playing, great; if he’s not, then that’s great.”

After finishing with the best record in the NFC last season, the Dallas Cowboys go into the season knowing they will be without their best offensive player for six games.

Running back Ezekiel Elliott was suspended for six games as a result of the NFL’s investigation into alleged domestic abuse. However, he will be allowed to play on Sunday before starting his suspension, making this a game the Cowboys must win.

Nevertheless, quarterback Dak Prescott should be able to build on one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history. He and No. 1 receiver Dez Bryant will likely have an improved connection, and he still has go-to options in slot receiver Cole Beasley and tight end Jason Witten.

Last year, Beasley saw 19 passes against the Giants but was only able to catch 12 of those for 106 yards. However, if Beasley can move the chains on third down effectively, then the Cowboys' offense should be a lot better than last year’s.

Giants vs Cowboys Betting Trends

  • NY Giants is 8-4 ATS in its last 12 games
  • NY Giants is 9-3 SU in its last 12 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of NY Giants' last 9 games
  • Dallas is 1-6 ATS in its last 7 games
  • Dallas is 13-3 SU in its last 16 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Dallas's last 6 games

Pick and Prediction

The Cowboys are favored to win by 4. The over/under on total points scored is 48. The two teams have met in the season opener for the past two seasons and each has a win. Both games were decided by a point, so I’m going to follow the trend and go with the Giants +4 in this one.
