Best NFL Underdog Picks For Week 16

Everyone and their uncle usually bets on the favorites. It’s the easy way to go; but, what about them dogs? Would it surprise you that it might be a much better wager? The proof is in the pudding, that’s why I’ve got the best NFL underdog bets for Week 15. Grab them below!

Best NFL Underdog Picks For Week 16

What: Washington Redskins vs Chicago Bears
When: Saturday, December 24, 2016
Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
Stadium: Soldier Field
Spread: Redskins -3
Moneyline: Redskins -180 vs Bears +160
Game Total: 46
Watch: FOX

Analysis: The Redskins just had to make it tough for themselves to reach the playoffs and went ahead and lost to the Panthers last week. But, forget the Redskins, I’m looking at the Bears and why they’re a good underdog pick this week.

Get this, Chicago’s last four losses have all been by six points or less, including three point losses to the Lions and Packers that lead their divisions. Now, I don’t think they’ll win this game but I do believe it’ll be close. In fact, based on what the numbers are telling me this game might go into overtime.

Pick: Chicago is 5-0 ATS in its last 5 games. Yep, bet the Bears at +3.

What: San Francisco 49ers vs Los Angeles Rams
When: Saturday, December 24, 2016
Start Time: 4:25 PM ET
Stadium: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
Spread: Rams -3.5
Moneyline: Rams -195 vs 49ers +170
Game Total: 40
Watch: FOX

Analysis: Here’s a reminder, since the season started, the 49ers have had only one victory and it was over the Rams. Oh, and the game happened to have ended 28-0! Surprise, surprise. Since, San Francisco is just one game behind the Browns that have won…none (guess these two are trying to set some sort of record).

Anyhow, I doubt the 49ers can pick up a win this time around but, can they at least keep it close enough? I think so. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick at least can have a good game and running back Carlos Hyde will be looking to grind out some yards on the ground being that the Rams are 20th against the run.

Pick: San Francisco is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Los Angeles. I think San Francisco at +3.5 is a sure bet.

What: Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks
When: Saturday, December 24, 2016
Start Time: 4:25 PM ET
Stadium: CenturyLink Field
Spread: Seahawks -7.5
Moneyline: Seahawks -350 vs Cardinals +300
Game Total: 43
Watch: FOX

Analysis: Something to keep in mind, the last time these two played they ended in a 6-6 overtime tie. It’s nothing that should surprise you, but it does goes to show that this game will be a defensive slog with both teams struggling to put up points. Which also means the score will be as tight as a duck’s ass.

The Cardinals will pound the ground with David Johnson trying to rack up yards and Carson Palmer will also try to get the air attack going; however, the Seahawks have such a tough defense that it’ll make it a drawn-out battle. That doesn’t mean the Cardinals won’t score (they will), or that the Seahawks won’t win (they will), but that the 7.5 point spread favoring Seattle is soft and as such there’s room to make a picking.

Pick: Although Arizona is 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Seattle, they’ll buck the trend in this game. Bet on the Cardinals at +7.5 to cover.
