Bet on Houston +9 Because…

Though Brock Osweiller looked sluggish at the beginning of the game against the Colts, he silenced any naysayers by orchestrating an incredible comeback victory. The Texans were down, 23-9, in the fourth quarter when Osweiller got down to business and pushed his team into overtime when he eventually sealed the deal by completing 11 of his last 13 passes. Running back Lamar Miller also gets kudos for his 149 yards on 24 carries and one touchdown. The Bears will need these two to be in top form against the Broncos’ iron-clad defense.

Bet on Denver -9 Because…

Head coach Gary Kubiak’s health scare that kept him away from calling the shots in the Broncos’ game against the Chargers, probably affected the outcome more than what many may think. Denver ended up losing that game but it also showed a few kinks in the Broncos’ armor. First, the Broncos didn’t exploit their passing game against a Chargers’ soft  secondary; second, the Broncos’ touted defense wasn’t up to its usual performance and allowed San Diego’s tight ends a little bit too much room for comfort. Regardless, Kubiak will be back at the helm on Monday so expect things to be different.

ATS Pick & Final Score Prediction

Brock Osweiller faces his former team for the first time this season and though he’s been performing very well since the beginning of this campaign, he’s not been on the other end of Denver’s defense.

Meanwhile, Denver’s quarterback Trevor Siemian will benefit from Kubiak’s return to calling the shots and setting up the offense so Siemian can get his air attack going. You can also expect Denver to focus on moving the chains via the ground game which should be able to exploit the Texan’s soft rushing defense.

My final score prediction is Denver 28, Houston 12.
