Week 11 NFL 2-Team Parlay Pick

  • Saints +4
  • Steelers -9

What: New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers
When: Thursday, November 17, 2016
Start Time: 8:25 PM ET
Where: Charlotte, NC
Stadium: Bank of America Stadium
Spread: Panthers -4
Moneyline: Carolina -213 vs New Orleans +178 (opening)
Game Total: 51.5
Watch: NBC

Analysis: Both of these teams lost their games in Week 10; however, there are a few factors to consider when making your pick. The Saints lost the game when the Broncos blocked an extra point attempt that was returned all the way for the game-winning score, 25-23. But, New Orleans had been steadily improving overall over their last couple of games. Meanwhile, the Panthers also had a close loss, 20-17, against the Chiefs. But, the loss came after 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter (including a turnover which gave way for the game-winning field goal). Notice the difference?

Pick: I’m siding with the Saints on this one. Though both teams are arguably balanced, New Orleans is more consistent on both sides of the ball to pull an upset. Pick the Saints as your top choice in ANY of your Week 11 football parlays.

What: Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
When: Sunday, November 20, 2016
Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Cleveland, OH
Stadium: FirstEnergy Stadium
Spread: Steelers -9
Moneyline: Pittsburgh -714 vs Cleveland +510 (opening)
Game Total: 49.5

Analysis: The Steelers game against the Cowboys was a rollercoaster of a ride that ended in a Pittsburgh loss, 35-30. Reviewing that game, perhaps, is more interesting than going over why the Browns will once again lose this week and it’s certainly more telling. Two factors come at least into play; first, Ben Roethlisberger threw for 408 passing yards and three touchdowns. Second, though the Steelers’ defense leaves much to be desired, the Browns’ offense doesn’t have anything going for them.

Pick: Clearly, the Browns will lose if anything short of a miracle happens. Will the Steelers win? Yes. Will they cover? Again, yes. Bet the Steelers at -9 in ALL of your Week 11 NFL parlay bets.

Week 11 NFL 3-Team Parlay Pick

  • Saints +4
  • Steelers -9
  • Buccaneers +7.5

What: Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Kansas City Chiefs
When: Sunday, November 20, 2016
Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
Where: Kansas City, MO
Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium
Spread: Chiefs -7.5
Moneyline: Kansas City -746 vs Tampa Bay +360 (opening)
Game Total: 44

Analysis: As mentioned above, the Chiefs defeated the Panthers last week, 20-17, and picked up steam heading into this game against the Buccaneers. The 7.5-point spread favoring the Chiefs would’ve been solid had the Bucs not had not played the way they did in their game against the Bears last Sunday. In fact, Tampa Bay tore through Chicago with a huge 36-10 win. And, in doing so they prove that if the defense can do its job, the offense will do theirs and win games; Tampa Bay’s defense sacked Jay Cutler four times and forced just as many turnovers in the game, while Jameis Winston led the offense with 312 passing yards and two touchdowns to his name. .

Pick: I don’t really believe the Buccaneers will have an upset win. However, I do believe they’ll cover; the 7.5-point spread is soft. Bet on Tampa Bay at +7.5 as the final pick if you are short a team in your NFL Week 11 parlays.
