Week 8 NFL Parlay Picks

You are here

Kansas City at Indianapolis

It may be an ominous that for the first time in this NFL season no team has an undefeated record, but for those of us that know better we can always spot an opportunity to make some money making the right picks. If you’re among us, keep reading to get this week’s top parlay picks…

Week 8 NFL 2-Team Parlay

  • Tennessee Titans -3.5
  • Indianapolis Colts +2.5
  • What: Jacksonville at Tennessee
  • When: Thursday, October 27, 2016
  • Start Time: 8:25 PM ET
  • Where: Nashville, TN
  • Stadium: Nissan Stadium
  • Spread: Titans -3.5
  • Moneyline: Jacksonville +128 at Tennessee -152 (opening line)
  • Game Total: 45.5
  • Watch: NFL

Analysis: If you felt the Jaguars had a chance to make it far into the postseason this year, don’t feel too bad, plenty of us were in the same boat. However, now we’ve realized Jacksonville is a sinking ship and is going down faster than the Titanic. At 2-4 the Jaguars don’t have much going for them and in fact their most recent loss to Oakland, 33-16, just goes to show that they’re a bad bet all the way.

Now, though the Titans also have problems of their own, especially with Marcus Mariota, they’re a bit better in our book. Mariota passed for only 232 yards on 22 of 37 completed passes in the loss to the Colts last week and was sacked twice but it’s likely he’ll turn to the ground game against the Titans, using DeMarco Murray to move the chains along and beat Tennessee on the ground.

Pick: Titans -3.5

  • What: Kansas City at Indianapolis
  • When: Sunday, October 30, 2016
  • Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Indianapolis, IN
  • Stadium: Lucas Oil Stadium
  • Spread: Chiefs -2.5
  • Moneyline: Indianapolis +130 at Tennessee -154 (opening line)
  • Game Total: 49.5
  • Watch: CBS

Analysis: When Andrew Luck gets adequate pass protection, he’s practically unstoppable. Against the Titans last Sunday, Luck passed for 353 yards and scored thrice without a single pick. You have to figure he should be licking his chops of going up against the Chiefs’ pass rush that shouldn’t pose too much of a threat to the Colts’ offensive line.

On the other hand, the Chiefs will likely go to ground to find the holes in the Colts’ porous rushing defense that’s allowing 118.6 rushing yards per game. If Spencer Ware has a good day, the Chiefs may be able to inflict heavy damage in this game.

Pick: Indianapolis +2.5

Week 8 NFL 3-Team Parlay

  • Tennessee Titans -3.5
  • Indianapolis Colts +2.5
  • New York Jets -2.5
  • What: New York Jets at Cleveland Browns
  • When: Sunday, October 30, 2016
  • Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Cleveland, OH
  • Stadium: FirstEnergy Stadium
  • Spread: Jets -2.5
  • Moneyline: TBD
  • Game Total: TBD
  • Watch: CBS

Analysis: Though the Browns clearly have nothing to be proud of this season, you have to admire their grit to keep on taking the field every week despite being embarrassed game after game. Even as their latest stumble against the Bengals (loss 31-17) cost them Cody Kessler and now has them going with their sixth starting quarterback, the Browns just keep going along.

Meanwhile, the Jets also don’t have much going for them with their quarterbacks; Geno Smith is still injured and Fitzpatrick, well, let’s not go there. However, New York did manage to win against Baltimore, 24-16, so they did pick up some steam which we believe will carry forward into this game for the win.

Pick: Jets -2.5

  • Titans -3.5
  • Colts +2.5
  • Jets -2.5
  • Patriots +5.5
  • Falcons  -3
  • Cowboys -4.5
