2022 MLB All-Star Game Odds

Right about the time when we’re all lulled into a slumber without much going on in major sports, the “Midsummer Classic” rolls in to mark the halfway point in the MLB season. All-Stars from the American League and National League once more take the field to fight for the bragging rights of winning. This year the MLB betting lines favor the AL, but there might be a surprise in store for you if you’re backing the NL.

It’s the first time the All-Star Game is being held in Washington, D.C., at least, under the Nationals’ franchise name. It was held in D.C. in 1937 & ’56 when that team was the Senators.

The venues traditionally alternate between the American League and National League every year, though the tradition has been broken several times.

The league in which the host franchise plays its games is usually considered the "home team," but the tradition was broken when the American League was designated as the home team in the 2016 All-Star Game, despite its being played in Petco Park, home of the National League's San Diego Padres.
