Straus vs. Curran III

Daniel Straus Vs. Pat Curran Fight Predictions at The Horseshoe

Daniel Straus will defend his Bellator Featherweight Championship against Pat Curran on Friday at Bellator 112. This will be the third time these two will be fighting as Curran won their first meeting in 2009 while Straus won in 2013. Bellator 112 will take place at The Horseshoe in Hammond, Indiana and be shown on Spike TV.

Straus vs. Curran III

This fight is one that many fans and experts did not want as Curran is not going through the tournament protocol to get his title shot. Bellator decided that they wanted an immediate rematch between Straus and Curran so they invoked the rematch clause. It really should be either Patricio Freire or Magomedrasul Khasbulaev who should be fighting Straus. Curran had won six straight before losing last time out to Straus. Curran has still won 10 of his last 12 overall. Of his 19 career wins, 11 have come by KO, TKO or submission. Straus has won six in a row and he is 8-1 in Bellator. 14 of his 22 wins have come by decision.

Welterweight Tournament

Also on the main card at Bellator 112 will be the Welterweight tournament. This tourney has had problems before it event started as War Machine, Mark Scanlon, and Joe Riggs pulled out. They have been replaced by Paul Bradley, Nathan Coy, and Cristiano Souza. Three of the tourney quarterfinals are on the main card along with the Straus-Curran fight. It will be Nah-Shon Burrell against Andrey Koreshkov, Sam Oropez vs. Cristiano Souza and Jesse Juarez vs. Adam McDonough. The quarterfinal between Paul Bradley and Nathan Coy is part of a seven fight preliminary card that can be seen on

Also on the preliminary card it is Belal Muhammad vs. AJ Matthews, Diego Marlon vs. Rob Menigoz, Darrion Caldwell vs. Lance Surma, Bobby Reardanz vs. Derek Loffer, Jason Guida vs. Anthony Gomez and Daniel James vs. Erick Correa.

MMA Predictions

I will look for Straus to defeat Curran again on Friday in a fight that will likely go the distance.
