2018 UEFA Champions League Predictions Inter Milan vs. PSV Eindhoven

The Italian squad faces one of their most difficult challenges so far in the Champions League. To pass through to the knockout stage, they must better Tottenham’s result against Barcelona. Though the Italians are the favorites to win, they’ll be challenged by a feisty PSV who won’t leave the field without giving them a fight.

UEFA Champions League Predictions Barcelona vs. Tottenham

  • When: December 11, 2018, 3:00 PM ET
  • Where: San Siro
  • Moneyline: Inter -225 vs. PSV +650; Draw +375

Why Bet on Inter Milan?

For Inter to pass through to the knockout stage, they have to beat Tottenham’s results against Barcelona. However, they face a difficult challenge against the Eredivisie champions, PSV Eindhoven, who have won 14 out of their 15 league matches, so far.

It’s the third time these two squads have competed against each other in the Champions. The Italians have a one-game advantage over PSV in the series.

They also have home field advantage in this game which also could give them an edge over Tottenham, who are playing at Barcelona’s Camp Nou.

The problem is the Nerazzurri haven’t been playing well as of late, and have not won any of their last three games.

Inter though is relatively at full strength and can count with Radja Nainggolan to play having recovered from injury. The Belgian midfielder will join Maura Icardi, Ivan Perisic, and Matteo Politano to form Inter’s main line of attack.

Why Bet on PSV?

PSV is dead last in Group B of the UEFA Champions League. But, they head into this game with some momentum gained with wins in the Eredivisie.

Team coach Mark van Bommel also has his squad at full strength, with just Ryan Thomas not being able to play due to injury.

PSV will, therefore, pose a strong challenge to Inter’s plans of topping them and Tottenham.

A strong midfield with Jorrit Hendrix, Pablo Rosario, and Gaston Pereiro will feed Luuk de Jong for PSV’s attack up front.

Game Prediction: PSV hasn’t had much success against the Italians or with road games. The Dutch squad has lost their last 12 Champions League away games. Inter will have Nainggolan back for this game, which should provide plenty of power for Inter’s attack.  It will be a contested game, and I expect PSV to leave it all on the field even if they wind up losing.

Pick: Inter Milan
