Why Bet on Juventus?

Juventus failed to win over the weekend, having to settle for a draw against Genoa but still find themselves at the top in their Champions League group with wins in both matches played in that competition.

Much to the relief of Juventus’ fans, the recently acquired superstar striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, will be playing against his former team. Ronaldo was sent off for an off-the-ball incident in the first round fixtures.

Juventus heads into this game at full force, with no reported injuries at the moment. A win could leave them just two points away from qualification for the knockout stages, so having their starting XI bodes well for the Old Lady.

The two sides have met 12 times in UEFA competitions, each winning five games and sharing two draws. The last time they competed in the Champions League was back in 2002-03, with United beating Juve 2-1 at home and 3-0 away in the second group stage.

Predicted Juventus XI: Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Sandro; Pjanic, Matuidi, Can; Dybala, Mandzukic, Ronaldo.

Why Bet on Manchester United?

The Red Devils had a slow start in this competition but managed to perform well against Chelsea in the end, so it’s doubtful manager Jose Mourinho will make many changes unless absolutely necessary.

Manchester United is struggling at the moment, finding themselves in 10th place on the Premier League table, while failing to win their last Champions League match against Valencia.

Jose Mourinho will be without Alexis Sanchez, who is expected to be sidelined with an injury, while Marcus Rojo, Marouane Fellaini, Scot McTominay, and Jesse Lingard are all on the injury list as well. Romelu Lukaku will fill in for Sanchez.

United fans will have the dramatic semi-final comeback win over Juve en route to lifting the 1998-99 Champions League trophy to complete the Treble on their minds, but things might not turn out as well this time around.

Predicted Manchester United XI: De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Pogba, Matic, Fred; Rashford, Lukaku, Martial.

Game Prediction: This is Man U’s biggest challenge of the season so far. While the past few games have seen the Red Devils showing good signs of improvement, the fact is Juventus is a stronger team at the moment and Manchester United is expected to lose.

Pick: Juventus to win.
