Champions League Semifinals

Ajax vs. Tottenham

  • When: April 30, 2019, 3:33 PM ET
  • Where: New Tottenham Stadium
  • Odds: Tottenham Hotspur +146 vs. Ajax Amsterdam +204, Draw +246

Analysis: “Ajax had a full week to rest in the Eredivisie. But, Tottenham was not afforded that luxury in the Premier League and that may turn into a disadvantage for the Spurs that coach Mauricio Pochettino described as “not fair”.

However, a handful of Spurs may hold the keys to unlock a win, namely Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, and Toby Alderweireld, all former Ajax players. The Spurs’ scoring might be hampered by Son Heung-min’s suspension though, and they don’t have another option to go with.

Both teams have a shot at winning, but the smart money may be on Ajax yet again. The Dutch side is on a historic run that saw them embarrass Real Madrid and then topple Juventus, two soccer giants. ”

Barcelona vs. Liverpool

  • When: April 30, 2019, 3:33 PM ET
  • Where: Anfield
  • Odds: FC Barcelona -108 vs. Liverpool FC +320, Draw +271

Analysis: “Barcelona is the favorite to win the first game even if it’s played at Anfield. However, Liverpool will be Barca’s toughest test of this tournament. As the two top teams left in the competition, the winner of this match will be the obvious favorite to win the tournament.

Magical Messi will be looking to score his first career goal against Liverpool, but it’ll be interesting to see how Virgil Van Dijk responds. The Blaugrana have a shot at securing their third treble in club history, and there’s nothing Liverpool would like more than to rain on their parade.”
