Bet on Barcelona

There’s not much in the way for Barcelona for them to get to the UEFA Quarterfinals. With a two goal advantage set forth by Lio Messi in the first leg, all Barcelona has to do is defend their home pitch against Arsenal’s attacks. And, it’s unlikely Barca will give up three goals to none at Camp Nou.

If you’ve followed La Liga football, you know that Barcelona has been a juggernaut at home, winning 13 of 14 games played on their home pitch while only drawing on one. That’s not all, because they’ve also amassed an incredible 48 goals in that same span of games.

Apart from Lionel Messi, who is a force of his own, Arsenal has to contend with Barca’s other two deadly attackers: Brazilian Neymar Jr. and Uruguayan Luis Suarez. And, though Gerard Pique will be missing in this game, nobody doubts Barcelona still has enough manpower to cover his absence.

Bet on Arsenal

There’s nothing short of mission impossible to think of how Arsenal could overcome Barcelona at Camp Nou. Considering the Gunners are even further hampered by the slew of injuries to key players and there’s a good chance this match will be a blowout. Taken a step further, Barcelona just shutout Getafe by a barrage of six goals.

Now, this isn’t to say Arsenal has thrown in the towel. And, their goal is pretty much clear: To score three while allowing none. So, it pretty much falls on the shoulders of Giroud or Walcott, both of whom scored against Hull over the weekend, to get the job done.

Game Prediction: Barcelona wins 4-1.

Bayern Munich vs Juventus FC

  • Time: Wednesday, March 16, 2016 3:45 PM ET

Bet on Bayern

Though Bayern started solid on Italian soil, striking early on for two goals, they lost position in the latter part of the game to play to an even score at 2-2. Thomas Muller and Arjen Robben spearheaded the attack, though Bayern’s defenses could not hold the lead and eventually conceded the two equalizers.

Regardless, Bayern is still playing at home which favors the Bavarian team and they should be able to defeat Juve albeit not easily. With either a 0-0 or 1-1 draw the Germans will still pass through and Pep Guardiola’s team has been effective at defending and scoring on their home pitch.

Bet on Juventus

To say that Juventus has a sliver of a chance to pass through to the quarterfinals, would be a mistake. Though conceding two to Bayern at home, the Italians did manage to end to a draw, which is testament to their will.

Their mission is fairly straightforward: Crack Bayern’s defenses and win the game even if by a goal. Do that and they pass.

And, Paulo Dybala and Stefano Sturaro proved that the Italians still have a shot. With Giorgio Chiellini back in training and listed as probable, it gives Juventus an even better chance to make it.

Game Prediction: Bayern wins 2-1.
