World Cup 2018 Group G

Belgium vs. Panama

  • Date: Saturday, June 18
  • Betting Odds: Belgium -590 vs Panama +2390 – Draw +231

Belgium: It’s time for the Belgians to live up to their hype. The pressure is on for Belgium’s “golden generation” to make it far into the competition.

Even at first looking, the backbone of the team – Courtois, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Nainggolan, Dembele, De Bruyne, Hazard, and Mertens – is among the strongest in the planet. With something to prove in this World Cup, it’s doubtful they’ll have mercy on the Panamanians.

About the only weaknesses this team has is on defense; central defender Vincent Kompany is inconsistent and there are practically no replacements for Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

Panama: This World Cup first-timer was a surprise entry that shocked the world by qualifying over the United States which were knocked out.

Though the mismatch is obvious against Belgium, the Panamanians aren’t without experience and have done well in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the Copa Centroamericana in recent years.

The fact is, however, that Panama will suffer its growing pains and will struggle to win a game. If they do, it gives testament to their grit.

Prediction for Belgium vs. Panama: This isn’t even a question, you should take Belgium to win and the goal difference.

Tunisia vs. England

  • Date: Saturday, June 18
  • Betting Odds: England -275 vs Tunisia +1020 – Draw 393

Tunisia: It’s the first time back at the World Cup for Tunisia after 12 years, having qualified ahead of Republic of Congo, Libya, and Guinea and they’ll be attempting to get past the group stage which they haven’t as of yet in all their four previous world cups.

Not much is known about this nation outside of their region and their players don’t have much of a presence in international soccer if any.

England: The English squad owes a lot to their fans after having tainted the team’s history with so many disappointments. At the very least they are to pass through to the knockout stage without any excuses let alone win this game.

The Brits have plenty of young talent in its ranks, among which is Tottenham sensation Harry Kane who has been deadly for his club and netted 12 goals in 23 games for England

England has quite a big Achilles heel they can’t seem to protect, for all their talent they seem to crumble against the likes of Germany, France, Spain and the South American nations.

Prediction for Tunisia vs. England: It shouldn’t be too difficult for England to defeat Tunisia. It will be telling of England’s passage through this World Cup depending on the manner in which they beat Tunisia.
