MLS Betting Preview & Prediction

San Jose Earthquakes vs. Portland Timbers

  • When: Sunday 7th April, 2019
  • Where: Avaya Stadium
  • Line: Timbers +138 vs. Earthquakes +194, Draw +269

Analysis: Both teams are desperate to win their first game of the season. San Jose needs to get back on its feet after a 5-0 earthquake against the LAFC brought them to their knees. The Timbers aren’t faring well either, losing 2-1 to the LA Galaxy in their third straight defeat. The Timbers have home advantage, that gives them the slight edge to gain a win.

Predicted line-up Earthquakes (4-1-4-1): Vega; Thompson, Kashia, Cummings, Salinas; Judson; Eriksson, Qazaishvili, Godoy, Espinoza; Wondolowski

Predicted line-up Timbers (5-3-2): Attinella; Moreira, Tuiloma, Mabiala, Dielna, Valentin; Guzman, Chara, Blanco; Valeri, Ebobisse

Seattle Sounders vs. Real Salt Lake

  • When: April 06, 2019, 10:00 PM ET
  • Where: CenturyLink Field
  • Line: Real Salt Lake +683 vs. Seattle Sounders -236, Draw +374

Analysis: The Seattle Sounders are undefeated so they’ll look to keep their streak going, especially considering it’s a home game for them. They’re the heavy favorites over the struggling Real Salt Lake. While the Sounders are trailing a three win and one draw record, the RSL has finished three straight games with ten men with their most recent loss to FC Dallas 4-2.

Predicted line-up Sounders (4-2-3-1): Frei; Leerdam, Ki-Hee, Marshall, Smith; C. Roldan, Svensson; Morris, Lodeiro, Victor Rodriguez; Raul Ruidiaz

Predicted line-up Real Salt Lake (4-2-3-1): Rimando; Lennon, Onuoha, Marcelo Silva, Herrera; Beckerman, Everton Luiz; Savarino, Baird, Saucedo; Rusnak
