Announcing: 2018 "NBA Five" Christmas Day Games!

Announcing: 2018 "NBA Five" Christmas Day Games!

The NBA will fill your Christmas stockings with five games that include a Western Conference shocker between the Lakers and Warriors. You’ll have to wait some days for the NBA lines, but here’s a preview of the games.

2018 NBA Christmas Day Game Schedule

Bucks vs. Knicks

  • When: 12 p.m. ET, ESPN

Knicks fans will head down to the Garden on Christmas Day hoping their team can stop Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Antetokounmpo may be too much to handle, considering the Knicks are missing their star player, Kristaps Porzingis, who is out with a torn ACL.

"The Greak Freak" is having an MVP worthy season, and it’s likely that you’ll see a big performance from the Bucks star. Antetokounmpo will rock Madison Square Garden so get ready to take action on this game.

Thunder vs. Rockets

  • When: 3 p.m. ET, ABC

Houston may have stumbled out of the gate, but James Harden and the Rockets can come alive at the turn of a dime.

The key for OKC is shutting down Houston’s shooters to limit three-point opportunities. The Rockets are regularly taking more than 40 3-point attempts per game.

Watch Harden and Russell Westbrook go at it and settle things on the court. It should be a great game.

76ers at Celtics

  • When: 5:30 p.m. ET, ABC

Ben Simmons gets the chance to redeem himself after a disappointing performance against the Celtics in last year’s postseason.

Both of these teams will go out on the court looking to claim themselves as the top dog in the East. Boston has the second-best odds to win a title behind the Warriors, but the 76ers aren’t far behind, so this might be a playoff preview.

Lakers at Warriors

  • When: 8 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN

This game might not be a rematch of last year’s NBA finals, but it might as well have been. LeBron James will still face the Warriors, except now he’ll be wearing a Lakers uniform.

Hold on to your socks as you watch the primetime matchup between the grizzled Warriors and LeBron’s new crew in Los Angeles.

The Lakers have a 21-22 record on Christmas day. The Warriors are 12 of 27 in Christmas day games and won 99-92 over James and the Cavaliers last season.

Trail Blazers at Jazz

  • When: 10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

The final Christmas day match is another marquee matchup as Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and the Portland Trail Blazers go to Salt Lake City to take on Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz.

After having a stellar rookie season, the Jazz star is in the middle of a slump in shooting and is down around 43 percent from the field and 30 percent from 3-point range.

Meanwhile, Damian Lillard was a legitimate MVP candidate last season, but the Blazers were swept in the playoffs. Can they redeem themselves this year? This game might be a preview of things to come.
