NBA Rising Stars Challenge

Team U.S. plays Team World with a hodge-podge of rookies and sophomores on each team competing in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night.

Team U.S. has lined up the likes of Trae Young, Jayson Tatum, and Donovan Mitchell among others to duke it out with Team World stars such as Ben Simmons, Luka Doncic, and Deandre Ayton.

NBA Skills Challenge

  • Time: 8 p.m. ET (First event)
  • Location: Spectrum Center -- Charlotte, North Carolina

The action picks up again on Saturday with the evening’s first event: The NBA Skills Challenge.

The event has a number of players racing their way through an obstacle course that will test their skills and determine who’s got the best game in town. The Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic, Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young, and Sacramento Kings’ De’Aaron Fox are among the players showing off their skills in this competition.

NBA Three-Point Shootout

  • Time: 8 p.m. ET (Second event)
  • Location: Spectrum Center -- Charlotte, North Carolina

Next up, is the first marquee event of the evening, the Three-Point Shootout.

This year, the field of contestants was bumped up to ten shooters. And, as in previous years, each player will attempt to score the most three-pointers from a set of five racks of five balls set around the 3-point line.

This year Golden State Warriors’ sharpshooter Steph Curry is the favorite at +200, but Sacramento’s Buddy Hield and Phoenix’s Devin Booker are close to the mark with +450 odds each.

NBA Slam Dunk Contest

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 16
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET (Third event)
  • Location: Spectrum Center -- Charlotte, North Carolina

The main event of the night is the eye-popping Slam Dunk Contest. Four high-flying contestants will provide the entertainment with their gravity-defying pirouettes in dunking the ball.

The New York Knicks’ own Dennis Smith Jr., is the favorite to win with +150 odds. Atlanta’s John Collins (+200), Charlotte’s Miles Bridges (+275), and Oklahoma City’s Hamidou Diallo (+300) are the other contenders for the Slam Dunk Contest.

Last but not least, is the long-awaited NBA All-Star Game. This year Team LeBron and Team Giannis lineup the roster with the best of the best players in the NBA to earn the bragging rights of being this year’s All-Star champions.
