Betting on the Raptors?

The Raptors seemed unable to stop Kyrie Irving and LeBron James from having their way. The duo scored a combined 59 points in Game 1 and cruised to an easy victory.

DeMar DeRozan was also nullified in the game and wound up with less than 20 points on 7 for 16 shooting and turned the ball over four times.

Both Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka did finish with 20 and 15 points, respectively, which helped Toronto stay close for the most part. The former added 11 dimes and a pair of threes to his name.

But, it seems clear that if Cleveland keeps on playing how it did in the first game, this series will end rather quickly. Keep your eye on this game, it’ll tell much of what you can expect (and what you’re to bet).

Betting on the Cavaliers?

It was LeBron and Kyrie Irving’s night. From the get-go, the duo connected for a hair-pulling alley-oop, which glimpsed that Game 1 was to belong to the Cavaliers.

When all was said and done, James had put up a game-high 35 points, along with 10 rebounds and four assists. Irving, himself, added another 24 points while dishing out the ball 10 times.  Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson, who pitched in 18 and 11 points, respectively.

The Cavaliers have turned on the back-burners and they seemed focused on heading once more to the finals where they might meet the Warriors once more.

Game Prediction: King James won’t be trifled with and he’ll make sure of that once more in the second game. Cleveland wins and covers. Toronto is 1-6 SU in its last 7 games when playing Cleveland; Cleveland is 5-2 ATS in its last 7 games when playing Toronto.

  • What: Houston Rockets vs San Antonio Spurs
  • When: Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 9:30 PM ET
  • Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio
  • Spread: Spurs -5.5
  • Over/Under: 216

Betting on the Rockets?

As has been the case throughout this season, Houston let loose a barrage of shots from three point land and, in Game 1, were hitting them left, front, and center. All in all, they hit and incredible 22 threes on 50 attempts.

The Rockets were up by 30 points at the half and there was nothing the Spurs could do to stop them. James Harden was at the center of things, scoring 20 while dishing out the ball 14 times.

Along with Harden, Trevor Ariza and Clint Capela had 23 and 20 points, respectively, while Eric Gordon and Lou Williams came off the bench and combined for 24 point and five threes.

Betting on the Spurs?

San Antonio was shell-shocked in Game 1. Throughout Game 1, the Spurs were chasing Houston all around the court, seemingly unable to stop them from going down the lane and scoring or finding open shooters on the outside for a three.

LaMarcus Aldridge was non-existent, scoring only 4 points in the game. He was also manhandled by Houston’s big men, not being able to amount anything decent at either sides of the court.

Kawhi Leonard was the Spurs sole hope, but even his 21 points didn’t amount to much given how bad the rest of the team played.

The Spurs need to regroup and figure out how to stop Harden and the rest of the Rockets’ shooters if they’re to win in tonight’s game.

Game Prediction: Houston is the underrated underdog. Though the Spurs are the 5.5 favorite in tonight’ game, it’s going to be the Rockets that win once more. Houston is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games on the road; San Antonio is 18-5 SU in its last 23 games at home.
