NBA Finals Game 5 Betting Preview: Raptors Favorites Vs Current Champs

If you enjoy getting action on professional basketball, it’s time for our very own NBA Finals Game 5 Betting Preview.

After destroying the hopes of the Warriors at Oracle Arena, the Raptors are ready for game five at home.

The NBA Finals is now headed for Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, where the locals are going to attempt to make history by beating the current champions, and that way getting the first NBA title for their franchise, and Canada!

NBA Finals Game 5 Betting Preview: Series Sum Up

This series started in Toronto, where the locals managed to win the first match 118 to 109. Then it was Golden State that won game two in what it was a very close game that finished 109 to 104.

This road win gave Golden State some hope, and fans of the team expected them to perform at their best during the next two games, but…

When the action moved to California for games 3 and 4, the Raptors were able to get two straight victories, beating the locals 123 to 109 and 105 to 92 respectively.

Now it’s time for the fifth game at Toronto, and Kawhi Leonard and his teammates are ready to play a game with probably the hottest tickets in Canada’s professional hoops history.

Raptors Are the Big Favorites, But Warriors Are Powerful On the Road

Yes, the Toronto franchise has everything required to get the win at game five, and the NBA title.

With that said, the Warriors already took a game there during this series, and they’ve been a pretty credible road team this season.

Golden State finished with 27 wins and 14 losses away from home, tying the NBA’s best road record, and they've also gone 7-3 away from Oracle Arena during the current playoffs.

This means that they aren't afraid of facing rivals at their own court. Plus, they’ve been able to overcome a 3-1 playoff series deficit in the past, beating the Thunder at the 2016 Western Conference Finals.

Current Teams Status

Our quick NBA Finals Game 5 Betting Preview also includes info on the status of both franchises:

Raptors:

This team has shown an amazing defense during the four previous games of the series.

And of course, there’s the team’s difference-maker: Kawhi Leonard, who has been averaging 30 points versus the Warriors.

Then we have Pascal Siakam, who came up with 32 points during game 1, plus Kyle Lowry and Danny Green were hot on 3-pointers during the next two games, and Serge Ibaka came up with 20 points off the bench on game 4.

Now, stopping Leonard seems like a good plan for Golden State, but that’s kind of unrealistic considering his current good moment.

So, the secret for the Warriors if they want to get a crucial road win at game five will be to prevent the rest of the Toronto team from coming up with signature performances.

Warriors:

Although they lost the match, Golden State did a lot of good things right during the fourth game of the series.

First, they were able to out-rebound the Raptors both on defense and offense.

And they also came up with better numbers related to fast break points and shooting percentage.

With that said, what really hurt this team was their nineteen turnovers, and they were also unable to convert from the free throw line when they needed it the most.

So, if they’re able to work out those flaws, they definitely have a shot at getting a road win that will ruin the party for Toronto, and all Canadians in general.
