The 2019 NCAA men's basketball conference tournament season is in full swing. All over the nation, teams will battle to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament up until Selection Sunday. ACC Conference Tournament Predictions

The problem in the ACC is that Duke and UNC will have to face one another before either plays Virginia. This scenario tilts the balance over to the Cavaliers to win once more, that is, if Duke makes it out of the semifinals with a victory over North Carolina and considering it would be hard for the Blue Devils to beat Virginia for a third time this season.

Prediction: Virginia Cavaliers win the title.

Big Ten Conference Tournament Predictions

The draw favored Michigan in this tournament. The Wolverines aren’t losing in the quarterfinals to Iowa or whichever team wins between Northwestern vs. Illinois. On the other hand, Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Purdue could all lose in the quarterfinals. The Wolverines are solid to make the finals, and their balanced defense and offense make them the early favorite to win the title.

Prediction: Michigan wins the title.

Pac-12 Conference Tournament Predictions

Which team earns the automatic bid in the Pac-12? It’s hard to say in such a bizarre conference, but a lower seed could win it all. Take the Oregon Ducks, for example, that strung together a four-game winning streak with wins over Arizona State and an eight-point victory at Washington. Though the Huskies are the +225 favorites to win the title, there could be a surprise in the waiting for this tournament.

Prediction: Oregon wins the title.

AAC Conference Tournament Predictions

Houston is the big favorite to win the AAC tournament, having +125 odds entering the tourney. The Cougars have been dominant in the conference, and just defeated Cincinnati (the next best odds favorite at +250) on the road. It shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Houston to go home the conference winner.

Prediction: Houston wins.

Big 12 Conference Tournament Predictions

Even if the Jayhawks didn’t win the Big 12 regular season title, there’s an argument to be made that they’ll nevertheless go home with the conference championship trophy. Plus, the Jayhawks are playing in Kansas City, a big advantage as they’re playing on their home court. Though Texas Tech is the clear favorites at +140, I think the Jayhawks will snatch the title away from under their noses.

Prediction: Kansas wins.

Big East Conference Tournament Predictions

It was a two-way battle in the Big East between Villanova and Marquette up to this point. But, both teams have shown chinks in their armors and have lost to lesser competition. Nevertheless, Nova’s experience should carry them to a title, unless of course things get wacky, which is more than likely.

Prediction: Villanova wins. 

SEC Conference Tournament Predictions

Kentucky and Tennessee are locked at the horns with both teams having +200 odds to win the SEC. However, the Wildcats could bring a tidal wave of fans to Nashville who could tip the scale over to Kentucky to win the tournament. Though the Wildcats are a young team, I expect them to rise to the occasion.

Prediction: Kentucky wins the title.
