Top College Football Championship Week ATS Picks

Here are our top three college football ATS picks for Championship Week.

Utah vs. Oregon

Analysis: The Utes want to prove they deserve to be in the College Football Playoff. But, they’ll have to get through Oregon first, who is now shooting for a place in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Utah has been on a rampage since losing to USC back in September. Currently, the Utes are on an eight-game winning streak heading into this game and have outscored opponents 308-76 in that span.

Its defense is critical for Utah winning this game in a manner that impresses the Committee. The Utes have two shutouts in 2019 and haven’t allowed a point in 10 halves this season. If Utah’s defense can have another excellent performance, then you might see the Utes in the Playoff.

Betting Trends

  • Oregon is 4-2 ATS in their last six games played on a Friday.
  • Oregon is 10-1 SU in their last 11 games.
  • Utah is 8-0 ATS in their last eight games.
  • Utah is 5-0 ATS in their last five games this season.

Pick: Utah -6.5

LSU vs. Georgia

  • When: December 07, 2019, 4:00 PM ET
  • Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium
  • College Football Lines: LSU -7
  • Over/Under: 54.5
  • Moneyline: Georgia +220 vs. LSU -260

Analysis: The Tigers have crushed it this year and would be 13-0 for the first time since 2011 if they win this game. A victory would also practically bag LSU the No. 1 spot in the final playoff rankings.

At the head of LSU’s success is its high-flying offense, led by quarterback Joe Burrow, the Heisman Trophy favorite who’s broken both LSU and SEC records heading into this game.

The Tigers’ second-best scoring offense meets the Bulldogs’ second-best scoring defense, how does this clash end up? Georgia stays close for the first half of the game, but the Tigers prove to be too much and crowned the new SEC champion.

Betting Trends

  • Georgia is 4-1 ATS in its last five games.
  • Georgia is 5-0 ATS in their last five games played in December.
  • Louisiana State is 4-1 ATS in their last five games played in week 15.
  • Louisiana State is 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games played in December.

Pick: Tigers -7

Oklahoma vs. Baylor

  • When: December 07, 2019, 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: AT&T Stadium
  • College Football Lines: Oklahoma -8.5
  • Over/Under: 65.5
  • Moneyline: Baylor +245 vs. Oklahoma -290

Analysis: The Sooners could earn the fourth playoff spot if they win. And, on paper, there’s no other team that can contain Oklahoma’s offense.

But, the Bears could be a much more difficult opponent for Oklahoma than what many people think.

Keep in mind these two already played in Week 10 in a close battle than ended with a 34-31 Sooners’ win and the biggest comeback in Oklahoma history. At one point in the game, the Bears led 28-3.

The Sooners’ defense isn’t as good as its offense. A few Oklahoma’s opponents throughout the season have scored 40 or more points on them. This game will be as close as the second, even if I believe the Sooners win again.

Betting Trends

  • Baylor is 5-1 ATS in their last six games.
  • Baylor is 6-3 ATS in their last nine games against Oklahoma.
  • Oklahoma is 1-4 ATS in their last five games played on a Saturday.
  • Oklahoma is 1-4 ATS in their last five games.

Pick: Baylor +8.5
