Why Bet on the Colts?

Coach Frank Reich handed the Houston Texans the win last Sunday in a 37-34 overtime loss. The Colts had overcome a 28-10 second-half deficit, but Reich’s overtime decision on fourth and 4 from their own 43-yard line in overtime, cost them the game.

The mistake resulted in a 37-yard Texans’ field goal that won the game and handed the Colts their second straight loss of the season. Indianapolis is now 1-3.

On the bright side, Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri broke the record for the most field goals in NFL history.

The loss overshadowed a rock-solid performance by Andrew Luck. Luck completed 40-of-62 passes for 464 yards and four touchdowns. But, more importantly, Luck proved himself as this team’s unequivocal leader, one his team can rally behind to get back in the competition.

The Colts gave a good fight, one that also had Nyheim Hines rushing on four opportunities for 10 yards and catching 9-of-11 targets for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Hines will be tested by the Patriots due to the absence of Jack Doyles and T.Y. Hilton.

Why Bet on the Patriots?

New England quarterback Tom Brady is accustomed to playing among the elite. He once more proved it against the Dolphins last Sunday, when he passed for 274 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for a 94.2 passer rating.

However, Brady may have lost his favorite target tight end Rob Gronkowski to injury. Gronk left the field with an ankle injury and did not return. Brady will get back, however, top receiver Julian Edelman, who returns from a four-game suspension. Edelman’s return should be a big help to Brady’s air game which hasn’t been spectacular as of late.
