Why Bet on the Seahawks?

The Seahawks have strung together a three-game winning streak and are currently 7-5, which bodes well for them to reach the postseason with one of the wild-card spots.

Seattle’s resurgence comes at the heels of a great rushing attack which leads the league despite having lost Marshawn Lynch. New offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has built a solid running game using Chris Carson as his weapon of choice.

In the Seahawks' last game, Russell Wilson completed 11 of 17 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns. Seattle also ran the ball for 168 rushing yards on 29 carries.

Perhaps, the Seahawks’ chink in their armor is defense as they’ve given up too many yards through the air this season. However, in their last three games, they’ve improved and kept opponents from scoring.

Why Bet on the Vikings?

Though the Vikings are still in the race for a wild-card spot in the NFC, they’re on shaky ground. Minnesota’s defense is one of the better one in the NFL, but the offense struggles to get a flow going.

Minnesota (6-5-1) is coming off of a tough 24-10 loss on the road against the New England Patriots. Kirk Cousins has been inconsistent, and because the Vikes don’t rely on the ground attack, games seem to go South quickly.

Minnesota will have to rely on their defense if they want to win this game. Slowing down the Seahawks’ run game will be critical. The possible absence of Seattle’s D.J. Fluker should be good news for the Vikings.

Harassing Wilson in the pocket will also be essential if the Vikings are to win the game.

Game Prediction: Seattle has won five straight games against the Vikings. The Seahawks are also on the up and up, and I believe they will maintain the momentum. The Hawks also have home field advantage where they’re 46-12 SU in their last 58 games. I think they’ll have another good game at CenturyLink Field.

Pick: Seahawks -3.
