[Week 15] 2018 NFL Top ATS Picks & Predictions

This week may significantly change the NFL playoff picture because, in theory, twenty six teams still can make it to the postseason. But, this weekend’s games should settle things. Let’s take a look at what the latest NFL lines are showing to make picks.

[Week 15] 2018 NFL Top ATS Picks

Cowboys at Colts

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET
• Where: Lucas Oil Stadium

Analysis: The addition of Amari Cooper paid off for the Boys. Though they stumbled at the start of the season, they’ve maneuvered themselves into a two-game lead in the NFC East. Cooper has been a big part of Dallas’ success.

Should the Cowboys win against the Colts, they would clinch the division title. Indianapolis is the slight favorites for this game, but Dallas’ defense should be able to contain Andrew Luck and gain a win.

Packers at Bears

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET
• Where: Soldier Field

Analysis: The Bears are crushing it right now. Last week, Chicago tore apart the Rams with a solid defensive effort that smothered Jared Goff and Todd Gurley.

Though the Bears’ offense still needs to improve, their defense should be able to carry them forward into the postseason. A win over the Packers would give Chicago the division title, but the Packers could be troublesome now that they’ve picked up some steam after hiring coach Joe Philbin last week.

Patriots at Steelers

• When: December 16, 2018, 4:25 PM ET
• Where: Heinz Field

Analysis: The Dolphins win rained on the Patriots’ parade. But, NE should be able to bounce back with a win over the Steelers. Pittsburgh has not done well in the final stretch of the regular season. And, everything seems to be in place for New England to clinch their spot in the playoffs.

Eagles at Rams

• When: December 16, 2018, 8:20 PM ET
• Where: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Eagles vs. Rams Betting Trends

• Philadelphia is 1-4 ATS in its last five games
• Philadelphia is 2-4 SU in its last six games on the road
• LA Rams are 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games
• LA Rams are 11-2 SU in its last 13 games

Analysis: The mighty Rams fell to the Bears last week. In doing so, they not only lost their position for home-field advantage, but a first-round bye is now further away. The Eagles are not what they were last season, but they’re desperate, and that could spell trouble for Los Angeles.

Dolphins at Vikings

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET
• Where: U.S. Bank Stadium

Analysis: Both teams are still in the fight to make the playoffs. Minnesota can still nab a wild card in the NFC, but they face tough competition from the Eagles and Packers. Miami is in a tough spot. Though they could still grab the AFC’s second wild card, tiebreakers have them behind the Ravens and Colts. This game is played in Minnesota which favors the Vikings, but the spread seems high given how Minnesota has been playing.

• Minnesota is 5-9-2 ATS in its last 16 games

Pick: Dolphins +7

Seahawks at 49ers

• When: December 16, 2018, 4:05 PM ET
• Where: Levi's Stadium

Analysis: Seattle shouldn’t have too many problems with winning this game. If they beat the 49ers two weeks ago, they can beat them again. The Seahawks would clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win, so this gives them extra motivation.

• San Francisco is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games

Pick: Seahawks -4.5

Saints at Panthers

• When: December 17, 2018, 8:15 PM ET
• Where: Bank of America Stadium

Analysis: Though the Saints tripped the past two weeks, their win over the Buccaneers last week might get them home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs. However, to get this, they have to win over the Panthers on the road. There’s nothing Carolina would like more than to beat their rivals, but it’s unlikely given what’s at stake for New Orleans and how the Saints are playing.
