Should You Bet on the Cowboys?

The Cowboys ended Week 7 with a big win over the Eagles that also broke a three-game losing skid. Week 8 was a bye, which means Dallas’ players should be well-rested and ready to go.

The Cowboys ground attack, led by Ezekiel Elliot, is facing a Giants run defense that’s ranked 22nd in the league and allows 122.4 rushing yards per game. Elliot is probably licking his chops, considering he racked up 189 rushing yards against the Eagles defense that’s only allowing 90.5 rushing yards per game.

Dallas’ pass offense also has the potential to steamroll over the Giants’ defense; Prescott has over 400-yard passing games this season and will find Amari Cooper tonight.

The Boys should be able to exploit some weaknesses that make Giants’ QB Daniel Jones vulnerable to being sacked. Jones has been sacked 21 times and thrown seven interceptions this season.

Should You Bet on the Giants?

New York will keep skidding down loser lane. Even if the Giants are getting better, it won’t make a difference against the Cowboys’ top-ranked offense.

The Giants haven’t done well against the Cowboys and have lost their last four games, including a Week 1 matchup where Dak Prescott tore the defense apart.

Even while New York is starting a different quarterback than in their Week 1 matchup, the offense is still prone to turnovers that lose games.

The public money is backing America’s Team on around 70% of tickets and 57% of the money. The Cowboys should exploit the Giants’ pass defense; Dak Prescott will put up big numbers through the air in this game.
