Should You Bet on the Lions?

The Lions have their hands full going up against the Packers at Lambeau. There are four questionable defenders on the Lions’ roster, including A’Shawn Robinson, who is fourth on the team in quarterback hurries and pressures.

Even if Detroit’s defensive players are rested after coming off a bye, the Lions’ defense is hobbled, and that’s bad news when you’re facing Aaron Rodgers. The Lions have allowed 281 pass and 125 rush yards per game through their first four games. Rodgers could be licking his chops for this game.

The Lions’ offense also has problems, especially in their offensive line. The Lions offensive line is 24th in the league in Pass Blocking Efficiency and has allowed the ninth- most QB hits with nine.

Should You Bet On The Packers?

The Packers are coming off a great win over the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay improved where they needed to, and it turned into keeping Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliot to just 62 rushing yards in last week’s game.

The Packers also turned up their own running game and had back Aaron Jones rack up 182 total yards and four touchdowns. Oh, and the Packers won despite not having Rodgers’ primary target, Davante Adams.

Green Bay’s defense also improved against the Cowboys, managing to pick off Dak Prescott three times while turning the picks into 10 points. The Packers' defense isn’t great, but they should be effective at stopping the Lions.

Insider Prediction: The Packers tend to jump to a big lead and then hold their opponent down from coming back for a win. I think that’s what Green Bay will do in this game, too. The spread has been coming down from the opener, and at 3.5, there’s probably value on making this bet fast.

Pick: Packers -3.5
