AFC EARLY BIRD SLEEPERS' ODDS!

Indianapolis Colts +2200

Is there a more boom or bust team than the Colts? The team has -almost- everything. Plain and simple. They had the second-best rushing defense in the NFL last year. They upgraded de defensive line by bringing rookie Kwity Paye. Their defense is stacked.

As for the offense, they have a fantastic run game and a top-tier offensive line. Indy brought a new QB. The Colts' struggles to become a contender came at a lack of an elite signal-caller. They have Carson Wentz. Yes, his last season was dreadful, but he is reuniting with Frank Reich. Alongside Reich, Wentz had a near-MVP season in 2017. If that form reignites, the Colts are a bargain for an Early Bird bet. You rely on that 'if,' but the upside is considerable.

Tennessee Titans +2200

Honestly, there are some concerns with the Titans, but there are also many certainties—what a bipolar team. First, the concerns. Their defense was the fifth-worst in the league. They were the third-lowest in sacks. As for the other worry, their brilliant OC Arthur Smith left to be the HC of the Atlanta Falcons.

Now, the bright side is they still have a loaded offense, one that just added freaking Julio Jones as WR. They still have AJ Brown as a wideout, and RB Derrick Henry, fresh off a 2000-yard season. Even without Smith, they will produce the goods.

As for the defense, they reinforced it with EDGE Bud Dupree, with CB Janoris Jenkins, and rookie Caleb Farley. Is it enough to fix the defense? Maybe. But at least they should improve.

Los Angeles Chargers +3000

Oh, Chargers... They don't plan the good things yet stumble into them. And they planned the bad things and forced themselves to make changes. However, it's all looking good for the SoFi Stadium residents.

A doctor's error made the Chargers play Justin Herbert last season. The then-rookie QB broke every single passing record a QB could break. He balled out while being one of the most pressured QBs in the NFL. Their HC Anthony Lynn was so bad he lost his job.

For the offseason, the Chargers' mission was clear. Get a good head coach that can't crash the Ferrari and protect Herbert. They hired Brandon Staley as HC, who was the DC for the Rams, that was the best defense last season. As for the other task, they drafted top prospect Rashawn Slater and brought Corey Linsley and Matt Feiler to join Bryan Bulaga. Now the O-Line is loaded. The Chargers have it all. At +3000, it's a huge sleeper.

Arizona Cardinals +3600

*Sigh*. Yes, talking about Arizona requires a deep, deep breath first. Let's make it clear that this team's ceiling is as high as it gets by roster alone. Good QB, deep, high-quality receiving corp, playmakers on both offense and defense, like really, you have it all.

Kyler Murray is a star in the making and has arguably the best wideout in the game in DeAndre Hopkins, plus a certain AJ Green that still has something left in the tank. Add the vertical weapons of Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella, and 'me oh my,' do they have an offense.

As for the defense, they have the two best sack-getters in the last decade with Chandler Jones and JJ Watt. The LB corp is young and exciting with Isaiah Simmons and Zaven Collins. On the secondary, one of the best safeties in the game, Budda Baker. They are a top team.

The only concern -and the reason for the sigh- is their head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Arizona plays in the NFC West, the toughest division in football. Kingsbury is outcoached by all of the others. Whether it is Pete Carroll in Seattle, Sean McVay in LA, or Kyle Shanahan on San Fran, Kliff is the worst. He is on the hot seat.

Seattle Seahawks +2000

Dancing between a contender and a sleeper, the Seahawks haven't changed in years. They are a talented team with a dreadful offensive line and a below-average defense. Long gone are the days of the Legion of Boom.

Seattle had the second to worst passing defense in the league last season. Their best pass rusher was a safety, and it was until the arrival of DE Carlos Dunlap that the defense improved. Not much, but something.

In the offense, Russell Wilson is an elite QB, top 5. Joined by two electrifying receivers like DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, they produced highlight after highlight. Still, Russ is running for his life year in and year out because he has little to no protection.

The reason Seattle is a threat is that Wilson is the NFL's miracle maker. He does things out of the blue at a consistent and high level. However, it is a bit of a stretch considering they have a lack of defensive power in an offensive-minded NFC.
