Absolutely The Best 3 Bets For NFL Week 1

The NFL regular season kicks off on Thursday with a primetime battle between the Packers and Bears at Soldier Field. But the board is fully loaded on Sunday, and we’ve got the absolutely best bets that you can make so keep reading.

Bengals vs. Seahawks

  • When: September 08, 2019, 4:05 PM ET
  • Where: CenturyLink Field
  • NFL Odds: Seahawks -9.5
  • Over/Under: 44
  • Moneyline: Bengals +340 vs. Seahawks -410

Analysis: There’s a lot of expectation on the Seahawks to make it to the playoffs and maybe even to make it to the big game. But, such big spreads on opening week haven’t turned out too well for ATS bettors. Last year, the Saints opened as 10-point favorites but lost to the Buccaneers. The year prior, Pittsburgh closed as a 10-point chalk and could only win by three points.

If you go back to 2003, all favorites have a losing ATS record in Week 1 of the season. Favorites of seven or more points have gone 18-27 ATS.

Betting Trends

  • Cincinnati is 4-1 ATS in their last five games.
  • Cincinnati is 1-7 SU in their last eight games.
  • Seattle is 5-2 ATS in their last seven games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 8 of Seattle's last nine games.

Pick: Bengals +9.5

Packers vs. Bears

  • When: September 05, 2019, 8:20 PM ET
  • Where: Soldier Field
  • NFL Odds: Bears -3
  • Over/Under: 46.5
  • Moneyline: Packers +150 vs. Bears -170

Analysis: Aaron Rodgers did not take a single snap in the preseason. The Bears has a league-best record last year that ended 12-4 ATS, and are now a 3-point favorite to win this game.

Rodgers missed all four preseason games apparently because of back problems, but it’s more likely the Packers didn’t want to risk injury. Rodgers is so essential to the Packers success that an injury could determine Green Bay’s outcome in the season.

The Bears had a somewhat easy schedule last year, but things have changed this season so they might not fare as well. Nevertheless, the Bears are always a tough defensive team, and their D unit has the likes of Khalil Mack, who led the NFL with 36 steals and 27 interceptions.

Betting Trends

  • Green Bay is 2-4 ATS in their last six games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Green Bay's last ten games.
  • Chicago is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Chicago's last five games.

Pick: Packers +3

Chiefs vs. Jaguars

  • When: September 08, 2019, 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: TIAA Bank Field
  • NFL Odds: Chiefs -3.5
  • Over/Under: 52
  • Moneyline: Chiefs -190 vs. Jaguars +165

Analysis: The Chiefs are 4-1 both SU and ATS against the Jaguars in their last five games. Kansas City hopes to start this season the same as last when they won 12 games. And, another year under the belt for Patrick Mahomes will likely end positively for Kansas City.

Even if Nick Foles is an improvement from Blake Bortles, the Chiefs are the better team. Mahomes has too many targets for the Jags’ defense to cover. I think this is a no-brainer.

Betting Trends

  • Kansas City is 2-5 ATS in their last seven games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Kansas City's last eight games.
  • Jacksonville is 2-8-2 ATS in their last 12 games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Jacksonville's last five games.

Pick: Chiefs -3.5
