Should You Bet on the Rams?

Head coach Sean McVay commented that the Rams loss to Tampa Bay was a “…wakeup call for everybody.” But, after seeing quarterback Jared Goff’s performance, it’s a call for the defense to get their act back together again.

It was the defense that couldn’t slow down Jameis Winston and the Bucs’ attack, which put up 464 yards, and Winston’s four touchdown passes.

Los Angeles needs to get back to business, but if they address and fix the apparent holes in their secondary, they should be able to prevent Russell Wilson from taking advantage of the mid and deep-range shots that hurt them against Tampa Bay.

This game is a must-win for the Rams, should they lose it would put them one game behind the Seahawks and maybe 1.5 games behind the division-leading 49ers. It’s going to be a problematic win though, but most of the Rams’ players are healthy, so it’s not far-fetched.

Should You Bet on the Seahawks?

When you look at past results, there’s usually not a lot to go on to make a call on how a game will turn out. However, because this is a divisional game, there is some room to get a bit of insight.

The Seahawks are looking good for this game. Even if Seattle lost both matches from last season, the margin of those losses wasn’t significant, and the offense played well. Quarterback Russell Wilson threw three touchdowns with no interceptions in each game, and the ground attack was also successful.

Like I mentioned above, the Rams’ secondary showed some holes in their game, which made it vulnerable to the air attack. If Russell Wilson can exploit these same weaknesses, then this might turn into another high-scoring game.

And, if Seattle’s defense can play as they did against the Cardinals, they should be able to slow down the Rams’ high-octane offense.
